You seemed to focus on Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam for SE Asia. For outdoor pursuits, there are actually a lot to offer in SE Asia. You can go snorkelling, diving and surfing in Thailand and Malaysia. You can go hiking up mountains in Malaysia (Mt. Kinabalu and Gunung Mulu national park). You can explore the caves. You can also go white water rafting. You can visit volcanoes in Indonesia.
@@OlliePotts How long were your SA and SEA trips, did they feel long enough, how long until you may have felt homesick, how long unitl you need to start taking breaks and getting into a routine? How big of a difference in your experience is going from £40 a day to say, £90 a day? is it a huge change in your experience and comfort or more of a case of just less spending on alcohol and tours+activities? Thanks for any answers, im really just looking to see how long i need and what budget to take :D
Is it way harder to meet people in Central America than in SEA? Asking bc I've been to SEA and it was so easy to meet ppl since everybody is going out and traveling the same route. Cheers!
It's not hard but it's definitely more difficult than SE Asia IMO. Not something to stress about but you'll likely meet people on activities/trips than at bars like SE Asia
