Thank you for your question! You can definitely articulate the machine while cutting. You'll notice a slight decrease in the speed of the blades while it is changing positions because some of the fluid to the machine will be diverted to the hydraulic rams, but you won't see a decrease in cutting performance. That's right! Every Hammerhead will come with hose guard on the hoses from the valve body and the whips. We also sell the hose guard wrap separately in bundles of 10 feet: shop.lanesharkusa.com/products/hydraulic-hose-guard-wrap

Your Hammerhead will come with the whips and the Hammerhead Switch Box to control the positions and constant flow to the motor.
