As a fellow bag aficionado, I've been watching this channel (quietly, lurking in the background) for over six years. I still cackle like a hyena every time Chase says "business papers".
Was watching this video and reading an article in split screen mode on my zf5. Full screen on, anticipating the "papers" coming. And a dose of Chase's ramble therapy at the end. Uniquely, Chase.
Nice to see a review on DB bags at last. I have the original version of the Ramwerk 26 backpack. It’s a little different to this current one (laptop compartment is in the back of the bag and there are no compression straps or an exterior water bottle holder). I’ve had it for about 3 years and it’s been brilliant. Built like a tank and has taken a real beating but it still looks great. It’s also the perfect size for me. I use it as an office / edc bag, dad bag to cart the kids iPads and headphones around and also for one bag travel for 2-3 days. When it finally needs replacing I’ll probably try the Evergoods CTab 26 but that probably won’t be for many years yet.
Oh man I wish I had this new updated version of the 26L. I have the previous version which had the laptop compartment on the back instead of the front and it was so frustrating. My Dell XPS 15 was too hard to get in and out of the compartment, you always had to find the right angle. I stood in line once at the airport security check and was struggling hard to get my laptop out for 2 minutes straight, while getting angry stares from people behind me. Since then I just throw it into the main compartment and it's all ok. I love how the backback feels though, I use it when I need to pack a bit more than usual, and mostly camera gear. And I don't think I'd ever say that but I love using the magnetic chest strap and how snug everything feels with it. The new updated version looks like it fixed many issues. Little extra tip: The top pocket fits my Sony A7 IV with Sigma 24-70, so you can put your camera in the top pocket for quick access during travel 😉
Have the same type suitcase luggage and the glue gave away around where the inside zipper is. It now coats all clothes in nasty sticky glue junk. I would not buy again. Also, only one of the outside clips works now. TSA doesn't care and throws your luggage around so it broke.
22:34 Ha! Casually mentioning John Vervaeke’s name and work in a bag review video. I subscribed long ago because I sensed you talked about more than just bags, baby! Next up is Bernardo Kastrup, I’m sure. There’s an undercurrent happening in between all the bags.
I like to segment and use each side like a dresser. The front access could be nice though because just one big bucket… could fit more tech/camera gear better.
