For those people who say that I didn't show the fighting mechanics against the bandits, or overall pvp stuff: I'll be working on a seperate guide that will explain each combat mechanic and it will include some really useful tips for both PvP and PvE, stay tuned
As a new deepwoken player after watching content on it for a year or so (I get it I’m weird for waiting so long) this is very helpful, as even though I watched a lot of videos, I am still stupid on basics and other stuff such as bells and other islands, etc etc. But having this helps. (I’m slow asf I get it, more in and off watching then consistent and more of it being background noise for other games.)
Before you leave the starting area go to the center their is a man there if you talk to him and spam 1 he will give you a gold ring that is worth like 15 notes
Thanks so much, been playing this game for a while now and still couldn't figure out how to *really* get started with it, kept getting beat up by enemies over and over, finally searched around for some help on youtube, and I found you, hopefully I can start to really progress, and maybe even help out my friends who I introduced to the game
it just doesnt makes sense to me, everytime i fight against a npc they dodge like 90% of my attacks or else i just cant parry at all cause they attack to fast
My friends told me to play this and as a squad we immediately went to farm some random place i may of lost my characters a few times and i finally decided to watch a video this gonna help me a bunch
As someone who has died many times and has had no idea how to escape the depths, i thank you quite much. Really hope theres a proper way to get to the cathedral tho, haha. Though, i question your choice in going to Etrea instead of the Isle of Vigils, because ive found it much easier to level up in the isle due to the training ground section. You can endlessly fight one guy as many times as you need to level up your weapon skill and attunement.
Lmfao, I got sent into the depths for the first time, I just found bells and saw they are interactive, so I interact with them. Angels or some kind of holy knight didn't like that and spawn on me, and me with my 60 agility(Trying out an assassin build) just kept on climbing and listen for the sound which will come out when you are nearby a bell, I interacted the bell again and cause the gate to appear. Then I faced the trial where I got my ass clapped so hard I flew from the map and went into deeper depth where later on I died to some abnormal looking npcs.
Haven’t played the game passionately in probably a year and have found it hard to get back into the game with a lot of the new stuff added but conquest is coming so I need to come back
This video helped me alot! I spent my birthday money on robux and spent it all on DeepWoken, i quit for some days and i came across this video and helped me alot! I couldnt even defeat a bandit now im power 3.
I feel like a lot of this is stuff that the game should tell you or hint at on its own. Shouldn't need guides for simple things like progression and how to get back up if you die.
@@artorialover45 I haven't played the game yet so I don't know how much the tutorial explains. And every game does have guides, but they're usually on how to improve your experience with the game. For a roguelike such as deepwoken, I would think something like how to get revived after dying would have been fairly simple to understand unlike what was shown in the video(running around and trying to find that city, then finding the place you're supposed to go to get revived). Again, I haven't played the game so if what was shown in the video was merely a better way to do something the game already guides you towards then I have no complaints.
actually better choosing autodidact+scrapper(ok maverick kinda really good for newbies) and glutton(literally countered by 5 str 5 will rare talent carnivore)+haemophilia(countered by flamecharm talent) also as freshie its a rule YOU WILL ALWAYS WIPE, its just a matter of time(like in project zomboid LOL), so these tries better to pull for experience like dying from enforcer, duke or ferryman, kaido, etc etc(proved by myself, its worth just be sent some times in depths and just wipe until you learn how to, so better dont making huge efforts in builds like bell and enchants). And after having raging butt you will def kill sand golem or enforcer in To1 like in 7-20 tries so that mean you passed hard spike
I legit died to bandits and decided to purposely wiped myself and I somehow ended up unlocking that trials thing even though I've only played for a little at first and left cuz I died too much lol
Nice vid, but in my opinion you should have spawned at vigils and used the instructor for combat practice without the risk of the newbie wiping immediately
Btw maverick give u a 5% exp boost not really worth it scraper is a must have so choose that for flaws choose obvious and manic this is advice from someone who has 200+ hours
the one thing i disagree with in this video is boons and flaws. IMO steadfast and either scrapper or pack mule and simple is the best boon/flaw combo to pick.
@@shh4887 its the best for all players. steadfast is a 100% required pick (I have no idea why he didn't recommend this), scrapper and pack mule are just the best general QOL picks, and because they messed with exp gain so many times the debuff from simple is barely noticeable. Simple was a flaw worth 2 points way back at the start of deepwoken when progressing to power 60 took like 20 hours, now people can get power 20 in like an hour or two even with simple.
My friend just got a normal sharko at power 15, which is insane. But normally you’d get one of these -Corrupted Sharko -Enforcer (Difficult) This highly depends on the amount of drowns you have
enforcers are very scary if u never fought one but they are really not difficult think of it as a big player and just parry trade and if the enforcer feint attack either dodge back and start parry trading again or hold block and take posture damage if your feeling you wont panic enforcer only have basic m1s if your parry trading so stay a little close if possible dont use mantras as they dont do much dmg to enforcer just m1 trade
pro tip (not hate) : before making an "ultimate" guide you should try learning the game yourself so you can actually give good advice (some things in the video are just straight up wrong even for begginers) but overall u did went over some important stuff, you just need to be more expierienced to make this type of video, but nice try im sure it helped some ppl a bit, also great video quality! Keep up the good work and at the same time learn the game as much as possible.
How did anyone ever find out how to even play this game when it first came out? Looks and sounds so complicated, is there a in-game guide or anything like one?
Try to focus practicing ur oarry in vigil. I think first vigil fight the intructor several times and level up till level 3. Then if ur ur level 3 u can not go to lower erisia farm bandit. If u think u are still noob at parrying u can grind in vigil instructor.. Tips on parrying try to calm ur self. Dont panic. Dont spam parry everysingle time.
