I’m in the US, but I do not go by the US sizing for docs. I found that going by my EU size works well for me and is the most accurate and least complicated. I’ve bought many different docs blindly going only by my EU size and they’ve fit perfectly each time without having to guess if I should go up or down.
This is what I was looking for! The US sizing doesn't line up with the EU sizing. I am usually a 39. but I realize they don't have half sizes so I'm a 38. according to docs, a 38 is a US7 but it's actually a US 8 Women's and 6.5 men's. They are way off! I'm just going to go find a pair of 38s now. Thank you so much! I want to buy a used pair because there's so many used pairs, worn once, that would otherwise end up in a landfill.
Hello, I'm a new subscriber. I'm a female doc martens fan, I have had several pairs over the years and have always struggled with sizing. How does the sizing and leather compare between the regular 1460s and the Made In England 1460s? I heard the MIE are a harder leather and narrower?
Hello and welcome… I struggle with sizing as well… I have not noticed a difference between the smooth leather 1460 and the made in England 1460s. I the smooth leather is harder to break in but sizing for me it’s the same
Im usually 10.5 in most shoes. I bought a men’s size 10 of that exact model of poly combs boots and they were way too big. I had to return them and then got a size 9 and they still feel a little too roomy, im considering returning and getting a size 8?? Which is weird i have not been size 8 since like middle school
Hi bro the dr martens size are true to size I just got mine today and they fit perfectly my size like I can't even go down so it may depend on someone's foot but they true to size I wear 11 and I got 11 no complain 👌🏾
Bro question. My size is 9 Inches would the dr.martens jadon US size 7 fit me? Or should I go for the US size 9 instead ? Really confused 😥 this would be my first pair. Badly need help pls
If your foot is 9 inches long then according the chart, 7 is too big for you. If you normally wear a 7 then maybe a 7 is good for you or if you have wide feet then an 8
I bought a pair of the loafers and I measured my foot as you said and I got the measurements of 9 3/4 inches for length and 3 and 3/4 for width and that put me at a mens 4-5 and Im confused because I am usually a size 8.5 in all my regular shoes like my new balances given that they all have a little wiggle room which I am fine with, but my question is do I size down to the size that the chart gave me? which would be a size 4-5 in US Mens or should I just order the size I am usually which is an 8.5 or an 8 in us mens. I also can't go in store so I am ordering online, but I am scared that it might be way too big. I also found out though that its the measure of the insole itself like that's what the chart is measuring and not the actual size that should fit that shoe/insole. Do you think I am stressing too much because I think i am overreacting lol
Do you know if the casual boots are sized closer to sneaker sizes? Everyone tells me that Docs run huge, but I had to go UP in size with the casual combat boots. I'm a 10 4E but often times wear a 10.5 D to compensate with brands that don't offer a wide. But with these I had to go with a size 11. There are no 1460s local for me to try out, so I was just curious where to start, lol. I typically don't size down with boots and I think that is because of the whole wide feet thing.
I got the 12 in the combs leather boots and they fit great. However, I tried the 12 in the 1460s and they feel super narrow and uncomfortable. I think I have to take them back. Does anyone else have this issue?
I'm so confused because your feet are longer than mine, but I wear 11.5 in asic onitsuka tigers and nike high top retro 77 or whatever. I actually was about to follow one of those sizing charts when I bought the nike's and it was telling me to get something way smaller, so I kind of was second guessing. I asked some guy at the gym wearing them and he told me to just get the same size I usually wear, so I did and they fit. My point is that the sizing chart would have led me wrong so I kind of don't know if I should follow the sizing chart on the DM site and get an 8 or just get a size 11. I'm moving to denver by the end of the year so I want the 1460 wintergrips, especially since they're currently half off. EDIT: I have weird skinny feet by the way lol.
damn, maybe I've just been wearing shoes that are too big. I kind of like to have a bit of room I guess. I'm 6ft tall so I figured it made sense to wear 11 or 11.5, but I guess I might actually be a 9.5?????? This is breaking my brain right now. US sizes by the way.
Given your preference for a bit of extra room and your experience with shoe sizes across different brands, it might be safer to stick with the sizes you know work for you (11 or 11.5) when buying Dr. Martens, especially since you're eyeing the 1460 Wintergrips for Denver's winter. Sizing down to an 8 based on the DM sizing chart seems like a big jump and might not suit your preference for more space. Considering a size closer to what you're used to, like a 10 or 11, could be a better choice, especially to accommodate thicker socks in cold weather. Always good to check the return policy for flexibility. Also you can try some dr martens in store to get a feel for them.
@@Fodaydontplay Thank you for your advice. I think you're right, especially since I just bought some asics in 11 instead of my usual 11.5 and, while they fit well, they feel a bit snug. So I think 11 is about the smallest size I'm comfortable with in most shoes. I'll see if the local mall has a journeys where I can try some on to be sure. I remember buying some crappy boots at walmart once for a job and I was a smaller size in them (like a 9 I think), so I wasn't sure if maybe boot sizes were different typically.
It’s between 11 or 12. 11 if you don’t have wide feet and 12 if you do. Also you can measure your feet and compare to the dr martens size chart on their website
Suelo usar 10.5 US en todos mis zapatos por ejemplo AF1, Superstar, J1 y me siento cómodo ni grande ni ajustado pero estoy interesado en las docs 1461 mi pie mide 28 cm pero es ancho y alto
@@Fodaydontplay Thanks. I bought chelsea 2976 smooth size 10 looks too long on me but if I go size 9 which is the perfect size/length for me it feels so tight on the top of my feet. Do you think it will still stretch out a bit eventually upon breaking in?
I don't understand why there's so many videos on doc martens sizes , just go to a store and try them on. Does anyone know the sizes compared to Solvair derby boots ?
Does anybody can help me? I'm trying to buy a 1461 on StockX and I'm indecisive whether to pick the 8M USA or 7M USA, my feet is about 26.3cm. Wear 8US on New Balance
