Once I started the video and saw that it was going to be 35 minutes long, I knew it was going to be an epic one. Hands down your absolute best build that I've seen to date.. I've watched enough of your videos to see how your fit and finishes are. But when you said, you guys ripped out that pantry window just to get it dead center on the wall.. That took it to a new level for me, as I appreciate your extreme attention to detail. That says volumes about the product you produce. And society tries to tell us that money can't buy you happiness! I'm sure this family is very happy...🤣😂
I'm picking out all of my favorite things from different builders here on YT in hopes of having the perfect home custom built. What I have yet to see but every home owner would use it, the addition of a mop bucket filler in the utility room. It wouldn't be that difficult to just add a splitter at the utility sink in the laundry room. That could also be helpful for those of us who love animals. Easy water filling for the pet bowls. Does anyone have a coffee bar? The addition of a water supply would come in handy. Designate the countertop directly beside the refrigerator as the coffee bar. Tap unto the water supply going to the refrigerator for the ice maker. Just a simple, extra step but it's the details that will sit one property over another. Great house. Amazing views❤ I'm sure the lucky homeowners will be thrilled.
Mike your design and use of space and color makes this Lake Home (until you decide what to name this design) one of my favorites...The amenities and the subtle touches such as the faucets and doors add to the ambience and allure of this particular project ....

I love all your custom built ins , your unique creativity and craftsman style and the way you do the master bathrooms. oh my goodness, the marble and the basement bathroom with the herringbone. Watching from NZ, and this one is definitely a real beauty! I’m always interested in American-style houses, especially higher-end ones like this: I shudder to think what the build cost would be to make it here, would probably be cheaper to build it in America, winch it on to a big boat and mail it here. What do you charge for shipping, Mike?😂
It is a beautiful home and property. A far cry from a single-wide trailer- it’s a shame that more and more high dollar homes are taking up many of the nice spaces. Only the wealthy can afford such a view. Where I live a once public piece of land with a lake and scenic views dotted with small cottages and well-kept trailer homes is now a private gated community of large expensive homes. Kids used to fish and picnic there but that is not allowed anymore for anyone but residents. The view of the lake has been completely obscured by the new development.
I wish you would talk a little $$ how much this costs. I watch because I love your work, but I'd like to better understand how much certian upgrades cost, and the total cost. I understand you might not want to disclose what your customers paid, but maybe give a general price of what it would cost.
What is the listing price? I will need for the large unfinished area to renovate into a gym with a glass entrance door and at least one full mirrored wall. The bunk beds in the family rec room seems a bit odd. It's doable.
Such a nice home to have such a disappointing utility room, just ridiculously too small, barely room to turn around. A house that grand should have SPACE and room to move in a proper utility room, a good place out of sight for the dirty clothes baskets, a place to hang up wet clothes, etc. Swing and a miss on it. Many other features in the home are nice though, like most here, there is a number of things I would change as well. The third bay "joe namath" man cave of a garage is well done, split unit, etc. Might have made it a little wider, but if the lot won't allow it, then work with what you have.
It means something when the guy that has his name on it sells it to you and gives you a tour, most of these duilders are not gonna go around explaining and justifying their price.
No doubt you are a good builder HOWEVER, these homes made today ALL look the SAME. No uniqueness anymore. Sorry. I like separate rooms. I do not like the open floor plan.
I hope to God this isn't what passes today and a walk-in ready home. I think I counted 6 different styles/colors for all the hardware through out. And that 1st BA sink looked like a utility sink for a laundry room. There were too many spaces that just didn't make any sense as to what the purpose for them was. Three home offices? Uh, nah.
