Good Morning all!
Push-to-connect tube and fittings combined with pneumatic clamps make shop jigs surprisingly simple to make. In this episode, Jeff demonstrates a clamping system designed for the drill press.
Thanks for watching and have a great weekend.

Using the exhaust to blow out the dust is brilliant.

Thanks! Doing with your mouth is tiring after 1000 holes 😂

Nice setup, Jeff. Two observations - I noticed your jig that extends out doesn't go all the way down to the bottom to allow chip/dust clearance. Second, it's really easy to add stations along the tubing anywhere you want them. Those fittings are similar to the Legris fittings we used to use. Bill

Jeff, came back to this video and glad you were very descriptive. I just purchased a couple clamps and hope it works to clamp down projects on my CNC. Wish you guys were a bit closer, would love to learn cabinets from true craftsman. Is there a book or standard to look up all kitchen sizes and parts? I may redo someone’s kitchen and if I had all the info, I could cut them all on CNC. Prices he received were insane.

Awesome knowledge as always Jeff, Thank you for sharing!! I really enjoy this style of content you and Jon are making on Today's Craftsmen. I always wanted to start using pneumatic clamps on some jig's i just didn't know what to order until now. I'm going to retro fit these on the CNC table for sheet hold down clamps and other jig's in my shop I have the Castle pocket hole machine, similar to the Porter Cable. Would you mind sharing the pneumatic clamp setup you recommend for the pocket hole machine? Thank you, Adrian

Thanks so much! I used the same pneumatic clamp on the Porter Cable as we did on this pocket hole jig. Here is a link to the toggle switch: amzn.to/3RsFwR6

Great video, and some awesome clamping solutions! Thanks for posting the links to the fittings/airline - did you have links available for the manifold blocks as well?

Thanks! I’ll add the 1/2” air line and manifolds to the description.

Wow, that's REALLY smart. I crunched the numbers and if it takes 20 seconds to drill the hinges, that's 5.6 hours to do a thousand. Obviously, that's under ideal conditions, but still, that's great efficiency and repeatability. Thanks for the inspiration!

really smart jig. can you confirm what size tubing you used. i also saw your setup for pocket hole machine with switch. pretty cool. if you can show the jig your partner made for door and panel clamping that would be interesting.

Thanks! The small tubing is 6mm but you can use any diameter as long as your push to connect fittings match. For the shop air the tubing is 1/2” OD 3/8” ID.

Hmmm great video... I wonder if you could use PEX pipes to plumb air in the shop.... I already have the pipes is why I wonder.

Thanks! I’m pretty sure you can but not sure of PEX’s pressure rating.

thats pretty nice. how much air does this setup require and at what PSI?
@TodaysCraftsmen

I’m not sure what the minimum and maximum operating PSI’s are but I’m running them at about 75 psi.
