I'm from El paso, moved to California for 10 years,I believe California has the best tacos and burritos overall. The meat and preparation is different and has a different taste, now that im back in El paso, I see different taco places adopting some taco styles from Cali.Social media perhaps has a big influence for cooks to get each others ideas..Despite,El Pasos best for me is Cometa and Chinampa and tripitas will be Sunday fox plaza
I agree. It took 10 years for el paso tx to get birria here. SoCal has nothing but the best. Can't compare to el paso tx. Because of social media now you have these types of dishes. Thank to SoCal.
@@nevergiveupfitness4710 Yup,quesabirria on top of the list in EP.. South Cal had the best cooks de Oaxaca,Colima,Tijuana and Puebla. The meat just has a different taste 👍
There are SOOOOOOO many Mom and Pop's authentic Mexican resturaunts in El Paso, you really can't go wrong with any of them. My favorite, basically because it's close to me, is Lucy's. It's in the same building as King's X Bar and pool hall, on North Mesa, south of Executive. There are several places right in the downtown area if you don't want to venture up the West Side.
TacoNeta has the most amazing fish tacos that I have ever tried in my life. I hate cabbage but the way that they make everything so fresh is the best part. A little expensive for one taco but the experience is well worth it. Baja Fish everyone has got to try
Born and raised in El Paso, moved to Denver, Colorado. I noticed that the tacos you showed on this video are like the Americanized tacos you find here in Denver. Need to get out of downtown El Paso and go to the suburbs and you will find real tacos. Plus, you forgot Tacos Charlys, Tacotote and last but the best Chico's Tacos!
You all make me hungry !!!! Please go and try los Targones on N piedras close to William Beaumont hospital. It’s a hole in the wall but delicious. Thank you for the info ...
So many good places left out. Didn't realize how many good taco places we had in El Paso until I saw this video and thought "where is El Taquero Comer, Tacos el Charly, Los tragones" lol. Part 2 definitely has to be made.
So El Paso has a lot to offer, there is- H&H carwash and café, Kiki's, Chopes (La Union NM), L&J café, Jaliscos (segundo barrio), Lupitas (canutillo), magaritas (sunland park) and many many more places that serve: cabrito, desebrada, carnitas, carne asada... tell you what give me the camera and I will show you "old" El Paso!
5:22 Tripitas are really good!!!!! 😋😋 Too bad they are not common here in Dallas, Tx. I always have to go back to my hometown in El Paso, TX to find some! 9:45 El Cometa is also one of the best places especially the one located right across the border in Juarez, Chihuahua!
Being from Tijuana it's so funny to hear them called Tripitas ... They are just called tacos de tripa here and in Socal... Def my favorite and I'm excited knowing when I move down there i will be able to eat my favorite taco :)
Personally I’m bummed that a few good ones didn’t make it on the list but I’m glad I learned of a few other places I had no clue about recommending to try mavens burgers and tacos, tacos Charly on horizon, and tacoholics
I moved from El Paso to New Boston, TX, little town, close to Texarkana, tx. I miss the Mexican food!. I make all the Mexican food I miss, Tacos, flautas Enchiladas, Mole, Chile Rellenos, ..you name it, I make it! Everything here is Tex Mex. I do go out to Texarkana to eat, but nothing is close to the MEXICAN AUTHENTIC FLAVORS!!! I went back to EP after 5 years, love the food, but I love my little peaceful place we live in. The traffic , congestion was horrible, but I'll still go back for the food!!!! Enjoy the EL PASO MEXICAN FOOD
What an amazing, artistic presentation. Love the way you made the voiceover and edited this video! Brilliant! As I mentioned, you two are such an inspiration! I would love to try those real authentic tacos!
You guys are awesome!! We appreciate you appreciating the way we put it together!! But in all seriousness, I’m sure you know, it’s comments like this that keep us going!
Thank you so much for this video! After working toward it for two years, we are finally moving from northeast Texas to El Paso next month. As a taco-holic, this will save me a lot of legwork. ;)
Brisket tacos are not authentic Mexican tacos. Damn! This couple has a talent of finding food that’s not Mexican. Korean tacos?!? WTF!?! If I take this couple to Juarez to eat tacos they would get explosive diarrhea instantly.
excellent video, Elemi is soooo good. im going to have to try these others i havent hit yet. also, next time your in cruces check out El Vagon tacos my current fav
Why are tacos in El Paso so great and diversified? Mexico is a stone's throw away. We have people from all parts of Mexico coming through El Paso and most of them spend some time getting ready for the next part of their journey. That means they will need jobs for a few months, maybe a couple of years and some, just decide they are happy in El Paso and stay for a few generations.
@@javiandjo We have one Mexican restaurant in our little town and I like the tacos. But since I've never actually tried real authentic tacos, I can't make a comparison. Thanks Covid for killing our trip to Mexico last year!
After looking at your video, I'm thinking you are not from EP... or just stay on the west side. What happened to Kiki's, El Rincon De Cortez and would could do a taco tour without going to the L&J Cafe... SMH...
Gotta do one for best soul food in el paso. Md305 soul food has an 5.0 rating. Your one stop shop. Food, desserts, jello shots, beer, frozen 100% fruit daiquiris for adults and virgin frozen drinks for kids. Kids meals, specials and all. We even deliver and cater and go beyond for our customers top notch cs. Come see for yourself.
The places you went to look some what processed. The price is also way to high. I recommend going to places not seen on TV or over hyped on the net. Some thing more home made.
good Vid for someone who lives outta town. not for us Locals. Taco Tote is by far better than 3 of the joints u visited. Simplicity... Tacos / Picadillo.. hamburger house open 24hrs
You forgot about Tacotote !! We went to El Paso last month and saw Tacotote everywhere even in Juarez so, we had to try it , delicious 🤤 🤩 and yes please make a second video 👍🏼
Not sure why this came up on my RU-vid feed but loved this. Thank you for sharing. I left El Paso over 30 years ago and moved to Vegas. We have some good tacos here but I'd love to try these places. One of my favorites is Rafas burritos. Oh how I miss those!
For those trying to figure out where the first taco place is, Tacos Panzones, it looks like it's likely in the parking lot of Haaz Body Shop 9412 McCombs St, El Paso, TX 79924
We are visiting El Paso soon for the first time and we will definitely hit up some of these spots! My mouth is watering! Glad I came across your channel!
LA specifically East LA... They got taco stands! Not taco restaurants not taco trucks but stands with the Al pastor rotating from a skewer as it's being charbroiled. Right next to those stands you have a churro STAND or agua fresca. Everything is quick, convenient, price was cheap but everything has gone up but still reasonable.
Tacos.. .la receta es el amor con la que cocines ...siendo mexicano....y cocinero con tradición en fondas de cdmx y alta cocina ...uffff tacos delicioso un Taco
Hahaha I am a Korean in El Paso I should try them all first and let my Korean friends know about that Thank you for your decent information on El Paso’s tacos Sean
@@javiandjo Hi Javi and Jo Actually my favorite taco is Taco Tote’s But they are not open for salad bar yet since pandemic started last year Call before you make second film for taco places in El Paso and find out whether they are still closed or not for free salad bar stand Free salad bar stand in Taco Tote makes different obviously Taco tote is Still my favorite restaurant for delicious tacos in El Paso Sean
Ok. At the last taco joint this chick is calling a taco completely filled with CHEESE a vegetarian taco. Think about that for as long as you need to. Hint: vegetarian…..cheeeeeeese! Don’t call a taco filled with a cow biproduct vegan. It makes you look dumb. Oh. By the way…Vegan and Vegetarian are two way different types of diets. Sheesh!
Yes, you’re correct. I said vegan option when in reality it is vegetarian. Thank you for the correction, I’m very aware of the vegan vs vegetarian diet. Which, to be clear cheese is still acceptable in vegetarian dishes, so that part was an accurate statement. But please continue to drop your negative comments. It keeps us entertained and we just wonder why you hate us so much. We don’t really care, but do wonder if it’s a deeper rooted problem. Regardless, Happy Valentine’s Day!
You guys forgot (la taqueria tradicional) they just opened on Sunland Park and the tacos are the best I’ve ever tasted in El Paso 10/10 recommend and they have other foods too.
Well to say they are the best tacos you’ve ever tasted is setting the expectation veeeerrrryyy high ! We’ll need to check it out and add it to the next video!! Thanks for the recommendation!
Gracias
El Paso sucks for Mexican food. It’s just hype since there’s nothing else other than CD Juarez around. Great cinematography. EP isn’t as good as MX or LA.
