In this video we break down the new discovery by Cr33pyCat and Vamp making it possible to bring the two dash inventory from the introduction area in Farewell to the main level. We'll talk about how it works, how to do each component of the skip RTA, and give some tips for learning and practicing it. This skip was discovered about a week ago, and was made public on October 14th with the publication of the new Farewell TAS in 9:59.998. You can watch the TAS here: • [TAS] Farewell (Celest... . Errata:
- Cr33pyCat informed me that it's also possible to pause buffer the cutscene start, totaling two pause buffers, which can make the first part of the skip easier. To do this, first pause while standing close enough to the gravestone to interact. Then unpause, and buffer both the interact button and the pause button during this time. You need to press interact before pause, and press both relatively close together, but they don't have to be 1 frame apart and you don't need to release. If you did it correctly, the game should pause itself again immediately after unpausing, with Skip Cutscene in place of Retry. Make sure to do both inputs early enough that the game pauses itself only 1 frame after the unpause. Then you can resume and pause buffer the jump, making the entire trick much more lenient than without the pause buffer.
