Florence, or Firenze, is an iconic city in the Tuscany region of Italy that is famous for travelers looking to experience amazing artwork and delicious food. This was, in my opinion, the most beautiful city I visited in Italy so I knew I had to take you all on this ultimate Florence food and travel experience with me!
While this is still a food tour I also wanted to highlight some of the ways in which the city derives its beauty. One of the main things is simply how cute the streets are! Florence is a network of cute streets that are lined with a variety of shops, many of which are independent and locally owned. Another factor is definitely how artistic this city is. Florence is home to two of the most famous art galleries in Italy, the Accademia Gallery and the Uffizi Gallery, and in this video I give you guys a little sneak peak into the Accademia Gallery which hosts the famous statue of David! Also, the sites are absolutely stunning with the highlight being the famous Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore which is truly an architectural marvel.
Florence as a city is amazing but what is equally as amazing is the assortment of tasty Florentine dishes. In this video I try two famous sandwiches, which both turned out to be my favorite sandwiches from my time in Italy. I also try gelato from one of the best spots in the city, which in its present day form is thought to have originated in Florence, as well as a couple other mouthwatering dishes.
If you are visiting Italy and can only go to one city I would have to recommend Florence. The food is delicious, there are plenty of amazing sites, the city is incredibly beautiful and the people are very kind. I hope you all enjoy watching my food and travel experience as much as I enjoyed recording it and visiting this lovely city!
