As I'm typing this, I'm only at 9:19 so if you address it in the video then thank you, but the thought crossed my mind and I didn't wanna lose it. My biggest problem with building is detail symmetry, I always end up thinking one side or one level is more bare so I overcorrect and I get stuck trying to find a balance of detail.

I have the same issue! 😞 Let me help, use Replay mod if your pc crash even when loading potato friendly shaders then you can lower your resolution to load the shader. "Replay mod" can render shaders at 1080p 60fps (even if it's potato pc) Edit: If that doesn't work for you then maybe you can at least cook potatoes on your pc

Phenomenal build brotha. You nailed the long form mix of broad rules, specific examples, and the breath and depth of each segment. You nailed the structure and the content of this vid both.
You don't want random, you want a naturally worn look is what people visually want. The water stone block gradient nailed it. The walls and roof should be the same gradient and not random. Make a purposely hit and repaired part of a castle wall, don't just randomize odd blocks in the wall, it makes it look like you tore down an outpost and built with just those materials and used whatever block happened to be in your inventory.

This video really gave me a lot of knowledge on building in minecraft! :D This has really spiced up my building skills, my Modern and Medival builds (sometimes futuristic) look a lot better, thank you so much for making this video! Best Tutorial by far for building! :)
bro I watched your whole video learned a lot (btw I subbed too) however I suggest using extinguished campfires when building both bridges and especially fishing docks
in my opinion these types of videos are not helpful. i say that because they dont think of the bedrock players who cant have hotbars, cant use world edit, no shader(or good shaders), etc.
I tried using reference pictures but its always 1 side of the build. Im struggling with making something of my own adding to that same reference picture that you originally cannot see
