FULL? It's bursting at the seams. They can't cram any more people in those old cow fields and battle grounds. Remember when there was space between homes? All these new houses and condo's are stacked you can reach out your mini mansion condo and touch your neighbors window. And where did the tens of thousands of people come from? I remember when population was 1000. It is heartbreaking. You have to sit at every new redlight while it changes 3 or 4 times before you can get thru. Main street is a two lane rd with no room to grow and there are thousands of new condo's in every direction trying to get on the little rd. I live out where I can't see my neighbor but I have to drive thru Spring Hill going to work and it's a nightmare.
Yeah traffic can get bad on Main St and on 65. Luckily I have figured out all the backroads so I don't get stuck in it very often. Do you live in Spring Hill?
@@VallRoginski nice! You've been here since around the planty opened right? A lot of the locals say that's when the growth problem started. It's been nothing but non stop growth every since that plant opened up.
Spring Hill, TN is a terrible place to live. I was born and raised here for over 30 years and it is so so bad. There are wild and rabid animals everywhere that will chase you through your yard. There's homeless encampments that line Main Street and neighborhood parks. There's rampant car theft and water shortages. It NEVER rains here in Tennessee. All the little school children in Williamson County are in little mafias that terrorize the elderly. You have to ask a store clerk to unlock anything you want to buy. All the stores are like North Korea, they look nice but nothing else!!! The only food available is British food with no seasoning. I will live here for the rest of my life bc home is home.
Doesnt appear that the new home developments include single stories. I have seen some single stories but they have a door and a single window out front😢 are there any developments where you can buy a lot and have a house custom built?
The city froze permits for single family about a year ago I think, so other than the builders that had permits prior, you're out of luck on single family. Not sure when/if they'll unfreeze it.
A fair assessment of Spring Hill but it is biased toward the Williamson County side. Property taxes are significantly higher in Williamson County than in Maury County, which explains why the schools are ranked higher in Williamson than Maury. Overall, Williamson County has one of the best school systems in the entire state of Tennessee. Similarly, homes are more expensive in Williamson County compared to those in Maury County, but the prices in Maury County are catching up. The main problem with Spring Hill is the traffic (and I am not referring to rush hour traffic) which has increased significantly over the last 20 years and the June Lake development only means more people will flock to the area adding to congestion, despite the new I-65 exchange. Cheers!
Thanks for your input Adam, however I don’t think the property tax rates are much different. Below are the Williamson County vs Maury County property tax rates straight from the city of Spring Hill. Tax Rate This year’s (2023) tax rate for Maury County will be 0.739 cents per $100 of assessed valuation of taxable property. This year's (2023) tax rate for Williamson County will be 0.739 dollars per $100 of assessed valuation of taxable property. Now the homes are worth significantly more in Williamson County especially when you get up to Franklin and Brentwood so they definitely are collecting more money overall. But the rates are similar.
@@Matt.Bogosian Thanks for your reply. I wonder why then the Maury County schools in Spring Hill rank so badly in comparison to the Williamson County schools in Spring Hill. I guess Maury County has decided to pay its teachers less than its neighboring county. I have lived in the Maury County side of Spring Hill since 2007. I bought a home here because I could purchase the same house for $100,000+ less than in Nashville. I don't have children so schools were not a real concern of mine, but if they had been, I would have decided differently (probably bought in Franklin) or sent my children to a private school. At any rate, I enjoyed your video; you cast a positive light on Spring Hill. Thanks!
I’m not sure why although I suspect it has to do with money. It’s too bad. I wish they were rated better. Thank you for watching. I really appreciate it.
@@Matt.Bogosian do you know which fire department? There are multiple in the area..... Are you talking about the park? Or are you talking about the Campbell station that you mentioned?
