UPDATE: the golden visa application was updated in early 2023 and for most of the locations noted the limited investment is now $500,000 and not $250,000:). While this does not apply to all of Greece, research should be done before considering a move.

Is there any chance you have a U.S. Traditional IRA? I wanted to know what taxes you have to pay to Greece on your withdraws after paying the U.S.? There is no avoiding paying the U.S., but I am hoping you get a tax credit thru the no double taxation treaty (doesn't always apply to pensions/401k/IRA). -Thanks.

You left out Kalamata! IMHO this should be No. 1; though I am from Thessaloniki (where I have a home and a second home also in Athens) and live here retired six months of the year (May to October) and the other half of the year in Atlanta, GA, USA.

The entire country I would say! :-) I forgot to say that I have a lovely pied à terre in Petaling Jaya (suburb of Kuala Lumpur, in Malaysia); and another apartment in “Milano Due” in Segrate, a satellite city of Milano, in Italy. So, yes, I travel all the time…a rolling stone gathers no moss! Hahaha…

If you want to work a little for your retirement with $50,000- 70,000$ max, you can buy a land with 300-500 olive trees in Kalamata and produce 6,000-7,000 kilos of the world's best olive oil and earn $ 80,000-100,000 per year selling it and you can sell your oil after harvesting in a month at the most

Great video but your picture as thumbnail isn't included at the video and believe me is a paradise on earth and no mainstream when you think Greece. So without further ado the little town that is in mainland an looks like an island is called Parga at Preveza region. Parga is a beautiful little town with fortress and an island 100 meters away. Many visitors things that look s like like a little town at Amalfi region in Italy and in Preveza you will found as well the largest continues sand beach in Europe and the biggest ancient town in Greece.

Great video. One thing when you spell Patra. There's no s at the end and it's pronounced aaaa not Patras with a US accent. It's Patra( Πάτρα). Bc if you ask for example where's is Patras to a Greek it will sound where's rocks lol. Look how close they are: Πάτρα (city) Πέτρα (rock).

Retire in Greece 😅😅😅😅 Severe taxation. Extra expensive . Expensive gas. 2€\ litre in the mainland and 3€\ litre on the islands. Utter rip off. Living in the Islands during winter there are not enough doctors so imagine living there with a bad weather and an emergency will occur... Good luck 🤞 If you have an income of 3000€ in a month and above ok . You can live in decency. Bellow that you just exist.
