My husband and I were there for few days last year and had no idea what Falles was. Fantastic few days but a guide like this would have been nice since we missed out on so many of the activities. Can't wait to go back and experience all of it one day! Thanks for all of the information.
Awww thank so much! We definitely wanted to make sure that we made this guide for first timers because we were always beat at the end of the day from walking around and looking for where to go 😥
Great vlog- very informative! Last year we're sure the crema started earlier than the times you mentioned... also worth mentioning the official app as well. We'll be there again this weekend 👍
Congratulations. I would not recommend going to the mother Mary square while the "OFRENA" is done. My advice would be to watch the "OFRENA" somewhere else, Colon Street, or near City Hall, as more diverse music from marching bands is played, and you can sit on bars. And visit the flowers late night and or in the morning with no crowds. Or just walk with some band of the "OFRENA" as much as you can, and visit, but not staying a lot, the square. Silk is the base of every dress, but there are more and less expensive ones, and there is a rental market it is a long walk and some older people go, but most of them don't to go to the "ofrena" and make some money from their expensive outfit.
You dis a good job with THIS video . Next fallas You have to become a fallero de una falla ,You Will the BEST time EVER as a membetr OF a casal . El Ninot INDULTAT . FELICIDADES !! Fantastc work
Best plan for fallas: go to a verbena, party, when it finishes go and grab some churros or bunyuelos with chocolate... and then go and visit the fallas at 3/4 am... next day, wake up just in time to see the mascleta
Great video with lots of details! I'm particularly interested in the live music bands of the Fallas. When and where do they play? Any details will be very appreciated!
love the info. i'm in Valencia for the Fallas next month. one question, on the 19th do the winning exhibits still get burned? I have read the winning children one and adult one get preserved in the museum. Also, the times for of the burning of the winners are at 8:30p and 10:30p or 9p and 11p at City Hall? i'm sorry but there are so many questions I have. Thank you nonetheless!
Thank you! I think the winners will be burned last. Not sure about being preserved. The time for the cream at the city hall will be later so i would say 10:30 and 11.
@@gesperteso no es correcto todas las fallas arden excepto un ninot (figura) indultado uno en sección infantil y otro en mayores , no tiene porqué ser una falla ganadora
I have a question would a tourist card during this week have no purpose since the streets are so crowded or could they serve to get transportation around the city?
Yes probably a regular bus card will be fine. Get the Suma10 for 10 trips on either bus or tramvia. If you are staying somewhere central, walking is probably your best means of getting to places. Enjoy Fallas!
You guys rock! I literally feel like you both are holding my hand through my planning. I get very nervous about the public transportation because it’s something I’ve never had to do where I live (Miami) and we’ll it makes me nervous to do it elsewhere but your videos and information have helped me so much. I even booked the Ouigo high speed train to Madrid yesterday after watching your video on the day trip to Madrid 🎉
Great guide! I will be there this year and i have a question. How much fireworks and noise should I expect in the weeks before - especially at night? I will be in Valencia for 2 first weeks on March (so not the final days of Fallas, I am leaving on 10th of March) and i am wondering if I should book accommodation in the old town or somewhere more remote. I will still have to get some night sleep and get up for work so i dont know if the nigh noise is something to worry about that much.
The mascletas is at 2pm so I don’t think fireworks will be an issue in early March. Staying in old town though, there’s nightlife so be aware of that too.
Hi, as a Valencian myself, I wouldn't recommend the Carmen or Ruzafa neighborhoods as these tend to be noisier. The weekend before Fallas we already have many parties starting. If you book a place on a top floor (so not a 1st or a 2nd floor) + not right in the center of Carmen or Ruzafa + earplugs it should be more than enough to be able to sleep at night
@@aol24 Thank you all for advice! I booked a place in Carmen, but now I will change it to my other option, maybe 10 minutes walk away from the center. I really appreciate :) ¡No puedo esperar a Valenia!
Amazing video! SUper well explained. But a mascleta with earplugs is not a mascleta ;) You need to think you're going to go deaf, otherwise where's the adrenaline? :)
