I’m currently working with the cricut company in a design squad. I loved this video so I referred everyone your way! Hope you get many more followers! Thanks for sharing such wonderful content!
Thank you for taking the fear of something so new in the retail market, away. You are detailed in your teaching method and in real time, so it is making this new process easy. I jump up every morning with my cuppa and wait for your post, and just think- Black Friday is now only 99 days away! Cannot wait for the offers on Cricut items. Been saving my money all year for this event.
Thank you for sharing it with me. I have only had my Cricut Marker Machine for about 3 and heft months now. I have made about 20 cards now & and am looking forward to getting stock, making more things. Family and friends ❤️ 😊
The reason they want you to use the laser paper is because it does not absorb the inks and bleed through...plus, when you lift that paper up there should be little to no ink left on the paper.
Hi! Lovely hair and I adore the accent =) I have a few questions, 1. Using the design you just drew, about how much more use will you get from your pink pen do you think? 2. If I want to transfer names of my grandsons onto t shirts, will I reverse the design for printing? Probably a no brainer there but I have yet to use this method. 3. regular copy paper really? Cool! Thanks so much
Michael’s is not in every country, I suggest providing links or stockists outside USA as it can be annoying trying to find the products. It would be extremely helpful if you could suggest other brands that are OK as it can be scary spending money on these items when you can’t buy the Cricut branded item due to it being unavailable in your country.
I know you said you have another video coming out to suggest other end products but I didn't here when? Can you used wood, say as in coasters or cutting boards? I have some ideas going on thanks to you.
I don't have a Cricut, do you have videos with Cricut alternatives? Like using regular stencils? I'm a poor crafter, looking for alternatives for high end looks!
I do love Cricut products but, I will NEVER buy Cricut merchandise from there website ever again! I bought the Joy, Cricut maker 3 and the mug press bundle I had to wait, and still waiting for some of my stuff. And to top it off, it all came separate! I must’ve received at least 11 boxes. 🤬 But with being said, I do love this tutorial!! I haven’t used my pens yet so now I know I can just use regular copy paper! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Do you have any advice on the amount of usage that you can get out of a single pen? About how many of those coasters could you expect to ink out of one pen? Also, can you change pens while creating one design for a multi-colored design?
Forgive me if this is a stupid question but... you just use regular copy paper? That's amazing if so but a little hard to believe so maybe I missed something lol
It's interesting and completely nonintuitive that you would perform the press with the coaster facing DOWNWARD onto the pattern...having the ink sublimate against gravity...
The heaviest parts are the coaster and the press, so it appears maximum, natural weight, is being applied here. As for the heat, it's conducted through the coaster long enough for the sublimation process to be completed.
Great video. I am interested in buying a cricut explorer air 2. Can you use multiple colors in a project. Can You Use Infusible Ink Markers or pens on Wood
How long do the markers last? I just got my maker and haven't used it yet. I'm getting ideas and learning how design space works before I decide what do start with.
Would a mini circuit press do the job or does it have to be easy press? Also is it a must to use butcher paper? I’m from England not sure where to find it. Thank you your video has been very informative:)
I know this old but was wondering if you can use 100% polyester ribbon to use with fusible ink? Do you think you can do a video doing it? If this would work on 100% polyester ribbon that would be so great to make custom ribbon. Wanted to do green with black infusible ink
Marie, I tested on 100% polyester blanket binding with both the infusible ink sheets and the fine tip markers, and they both worked great. The infusible ink sheet made a more solid black on the white binding, but they both still worked fine. I would test a small scrap to make sure your ribbon can withstand that duration of high heat from the heat press. I tested several different lengths of time, and found the image came out better with a longer time than recommended; but the blanket binding did not melt for me. Polyester ribbon may or may not be as heat tolerant.
Hi... The infusable ink products need to be used with special "sublimation" blanks... I know she just says "ceramic" but she is using the Cricut ceramic coasters which are designed for infusable ink. The item has to have a special polyester coating for the ink to fuse with... so a cotton fabric won't work either... needs to be polyester. It really is amazing when you get it to work. Have done the coaters and shirts and the way it becomes one with the surface is amazing! Hope that helps. 😊
Can you color with the markers then press onto something like a tote bag or shirt? Can you use a different type of shirt made of the some product? Is 100% polyester, blends, cotton, what makes so special?
I am trying to find an alternative to buying a bunch of labels for the things I make. Will this ink fuse onto a double brush poly fabric and not seep all the way through? Before I go out and buy the pens and all?
I don't own a Cricut (yet) but the project looks super. About how much does it cost to do a project like this? Say 4 coasters, pen. And how fast do you go through a pen or pen set?
The pens should last you a while, i've had a set of pens (non-cricut) for over a year and they are still going; cost can vary but once you have the pens (14.99) you can use so many substrates and thats your only consumable cost
This all is Greek to me! Totally knowledgeless so my question is, can I draw directly on the project then iron or does it need to be drawn on paper then ironed on. I dont have any machines yet. Trying to determine if I can learn enough to make it worth the price.
@Hedgehog Hollow I have seen other crafters have the ink and coasters face up and the butcher paper then the Cricut press. Does it matter if it is the sandwich you did or the other way?
this is the cricut recommended sandwich and takes longer heating, it also depend on cork or ceramic coaster for the sandwich. There's other options and ways; for the video i stuck to the 'recommended' but hacks are incoming!
Is there a way to take off the subtitles. You speak english and are easy to understand the subtitles are in english and get in the way. I'd rather watch you without subtitles.
