Is it just me or there are other ppl think that black actually suits the type r better than the champion white? It looks so aggressive and elegant in black
I’ve owned a Galaxy Black and a Boost Blue CTR FK8. Black definitely hid/blended in the fake vent panels front and rear making it very menacing. The Boost Blue was almost glowing and helped to highlight the functional side, hood vents as well. I love both FK8 and widened FL5 designs. For MSRP prices they can be worth it but you can spend 12-15k on lightweight wheels,FBO parts, tuning and labor to make it a lot more powerful etc. but pushing it into that price range…there are better factory tuned hot rods or even used hot rods like the GTR etc.
Black looks so good when it's kept clean and in good condition. Personally, I would never own a black car again, unless you love detailing your car. Hard to keep clean, and any sort of damage is instantly noticeable.
One, hell yeah to more Aussies doing car reviews! Two, great car and touched on some nice points, didn’t know it had hill start assist, does that mean you can hold the clutch and release the brake and it stays put? Three, nice to know the seats are good for the tall boys, how about the foot well? Was it cramped? Four, great job and keep it up 👍
Hi Chris. Yes the brake hold allows you take your foot off the brake and hold the clutch without moving. Sort of like Launch Control (it has proper Launch Control too). Foot well space was fine! Just not great for back seat passengers when there is a tall driver. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching!
Yeah they have bettered the i30N interior now, but when you think about it the i30 platform is like 6 years old now. And the Civic is about £15,000 more expensive
I think the i30 is overdue for an update, but they are still selling loads of them so I suppose there’s no rush. But yes the Civic is expensive by comparison. Thanks for watching.
Haha. I like the cackle when I’m driving it, but I hate it when I hear it from other cars… The Civic really is a much better car to drive, but you do pay extra. Thanks for watching!
Depends what you're after. The Type R is a proper track machine and the Beemer is a bit more refined and easier to live with as a daily driver. The Civic is also about $5000 cheaper and the interior tech is not as good as the BMW.
@4wheelsandaseat the Type R is an exciting car and you were driving it like an old lady. You don't have the charisma to have a successful RU-vid channel. And yes, I am rude.
Chose the i30 Sedan N over this. More room in the back, has a sunroof, nicer wheels, better looking, quicker 0-100, 8 speed dct, track warranty, cheaper, better exhaust sound
Fair call on all of those points. To me the Honda feels a bit more lux than the Hyundai and a little easier to live with as a daily driver, but it really depends on what you’re looking for. Thanks for watching!
An i30 is no type R, no where near the same fit and finish or even comes close to the feeling of managing your revs and power through the gearbox, not even close…..
@@OzSaints66 They’re both great cars. FL5 has nice interior materials. That said the Sedan N has Leather electric heated and cooled seats, a much better rear camera that you can leave on and better display graphics, heated steering and infotainment that neatly blends into the dash. Very happy with the fit/finish and the Sedan N has a better ride quality on roads with large bumps
