My family and I stayed at the Bar Harbor Inn Resort and Spa and all I can tell you is it is HAUNTED! Here’s the story: They called our room during our stay at like 11:30 or so stating that the people below us were complaining about all the running around. We were all SLEEPING! I was so tried, I just said okay and hung up. Then during the night something kept tugging my feet and shaking me awake on the shoulders like there was some sort of emergency. I’ll tell you right now I didn’t sleep a wink. I was up even before their continental breakfast was set up! Did something happen there at one time like a fire or some emergency because it was so confusing?
Thanks to your videos, we had an amazing 6 days in Bar Harbor and at the Sand Bar Cottage. Your videos bring Bar Harbor to life and everything is so beautiful in person. And bonus - we had the blissful pleasure of meeting you and Stephen in person! Thank you for the amazing videos. We can't wait to see where your next videos take us.
Regrettably, I did not enjoy the central hub of Bar Harbor. A LOT of traffic, loud music coming from the restaurants and very crowded. We stayed 3/4 miles away and it was quiet and peaceful. Wouldn’t go back . Saw Acadia , did a tour, and that’s all.
It definitely has gotten rowdy particularly during the summer. I will say there are a few spots in town where you can find some peace. The main strips though definitely not.
these places looks very comfy Ben, expensive but thats what you pay these days. Tell me though - hostel/campsites??? for the budget conscious of course! there's a video for you!
I thoroughly enjoyed your detailed explanation of various accommodations and your journey into the hotel business. The tour was a fantastic addition, and the Bar Harbor Inn truly stood out as a gem. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video!
Wow! That hotel look so gorgeous. Love the surroundings and architecture as well. Weather look so awesome and autumn leaves give perfect colors to your video. Beautiful videography
$4/hr parking. We didn’t know there is a bus. Very expensive area but very good restaurants. Jack Russell Steakhouse outside town has free parking and great food. We left 5/20 before the crowds hit and it was already crowded.
Early or late season is always best to visit MDI. Yeah parking in town is getting ridiculous. I haven't been to Jack Russel's in awhile but, it was always good when I went in the past.
This was a great explanation of the different types of accommodations someone may stay in. And it was cool hearing how he got into the hotel business. Oh and I loved the tour as well.
Great video! Will be helpful for people planning a trip next year. Didn't know Stephen had that many hotels. Pretty cool. But my favorite was the Bar Harbor Inn. So glad I was able to stay there during the year you worked there.
What is your opinion on the West St hotel? Bar Harbor Inn is my favorite but I'm considering a stay at the West. It looks absolutely beautiful. Also, do you know if it has its own parking area? The thing i love about BHI is you park there and then you don't need a car everywhere you go. Queen Anne's Revenge looks cool, too.
I do believe the West St Hotel has a parking area behind it. The rooms are nice. Not as luxurious as BHI but still really nice, plus the rooftop pool is amazing. That's probably the main feature for me.
Thank you for showing us some of the different hotel rooms in Bar Harbor. It looks like a really nice place to stay with different options and price ranges.
