hi, I suggest for the home shortcut you just select ''Get current focus'' and them ''set focus''. So you just select disable and current focus. This way its easier and also you don't need to edit this shortcut every time you create a new one.
If you use other shortcuts, then your widget might get messy. To fix that, make a folder in Shortcuts and call it “iPad control” or whatever you want. Then edit your home screen, tap the Shortcuts widget and you can pick what folder it should get the shortcuts from!
5:37 I actually love this feature when i am studying for exams. I get a lot of calls, texts, and emails and being able to control what notifications get shown in a focus mode on all my devices has saved my productivity, focus, and sanity. I understand that its not everybody's cup of tea but i love this feature.
HELP‼️ I have an iPad Pro 2017 iPadOS v.17.01 loaded. In shortcuts app I keep getting message "Please provide an image to set as a wallpaper" but I have an image set and the focus buttons all work - with a small lag for the wallpaper to change for each. The focus notification [anybody know how to turn this annoyance off?] also says I need to set an image, but there is clearly an image set.
Always enjoy these videos. Got mine setup up similarly! Also added work shortcuts that will open two apps side by side like To Do and Spotify. Looking forward to the new iPad OS to have wallpapers switching so quickly! Great work as always dude!
How do you put the focus modes icons on the Shortcuts widget. I don’t know if I missed that part or you had it on the previous video that’s the only thing I’m getting stumped on.
Can you also set up each home screen or set of home screens per focus mode when already in it? Then when you disable it you still have to hide them all from the non-focus setup... Also i find that hiding the widget in the widget area to the left of the home screen or even using the control center gives a clutter free workspace
When I switch from one focus mode to the next, the text/name of my apps end up with a white font and drop shadow for about 5 seconds then the text becomes black, though the wallpaper is changed instantaneously. I noticed that for you, when you switch from one focus mode to the next, this does not happen. Would you know how to get this seamless transition from one focus mode to the next?
Wish I had seen this video earlier. I tried to make different focus modes with different screen and apps, but it didn't work. I didn't it in the wrong way 🤦♀
Great video. I like you setup, but the dock layout persisting across all different focuses is kinda annoying. I would like to be able to tweak the dock up based on which focus is active.
