My skin barrier was messed up with krave great barrier relief (one of the few cases with irritation). The cream skin refiner was my HG and helped restore my barrier. It’s too heavy for summer though. Great review Kelly as always! ❤️😘

I think if you live in a humid climate you can get away with this as a moisturizer. I usually use it in the morning as my moisturizer and because I’m in Florida I feel like my skin is super juicy! (I also have dehydrated skin currently 😞 but this is helping majorly!)

Using this now for a few weeks and it works for my combination, dehydrated, acne prone, mature skin. I know, so complicated! Haven't tried layering it though as we have tropical weather but maybe when it's a little cooler I'll try that. This is my first Laneige product and I got two trial size bottles (Korean version), which can be difficult to transfer to a spray bottle. Anyway, thanks for this awesome review, Kelly!:)

I start using the cream skin refiner 3 weeks ago .I have normal to dry skin and I freaking love it it's really a game changer but my mom who has oily skin bought one too .. she told me even with one layer( about 6 drops ) it felt heavy and greasy on her face so she left it for winter...this review was in depth and helpful and I grew with you with every thing you said ..thank you 💖💝

H(e)i😊! ...where do you buy your k/j beauty? From Yesstyle or somewhere else? I buy from there. Only 1/4 of my orders have gotten into customs so far. But it's ok since Yesstyle gives full refund for what you pay for the customs. When I've checked the prices from European or even Finnish websites that sell Asian brands, they have been much more expensive.

Nice review, I have very dry skin and I love it! Good job reviewing, it's sold out on yesstyle but I picked up 2 50ml bottles on eBay for AUD$14 including shipping from Korea. I bought a single 50ml bottle to try a few weeks ago and I'm really enjoying it. I actually put a few drops of essence in my hand and then a few drops of cream skin and then apply to my face.

Great review Kelly! I've been eyeing this product for a while. From intial reaction I like how there aren't fragrances, fatty alcohols, or essential oils listed in the ingredients list. Therefore, i'm going to try out the trial size and use it after my Etude Soon Jung Relief Toner. Hopefully it goes well fingers crossed.

@@KellyDriscoll Awesome! I believe you will like it. It hasn't formed any acne on my skin its very light weight like water so you have to apply multiple layers but I did feel it hydrate my skin.

This product is great! It does exactly what it says (and yes it can be used as a moisturizer IF used correctly). If you use as a moisturizer layer an oil underneath to create a greenhouse effect. I have very dry skin and use only this and an oil underneath and have an stunning glow and hydration all day!! However if you are using products that make your skin dryer such as (retinol, aha/bha) then yes use a cream as well.

Great detailed video. I'm with you, I really enjoy Cream Skin! It was an accidental and lucky find for me. I was buying other products in the Laneige store in South Korea and they had a deal going where if you spend over a certain amount they give you TWO bottles of Cream Skin AND a bunch of small samples of the overnight water mask AND their overnight lip mask (also love). I don't usually think too much of freebies and was a bit suspicious that they gave me two full size bottles and thought maybe it's old stock they were getting rid of. But then I started using it and it's so nice and moisturising. My skin leans toward dry with some oily sections so I find it's just so refreshing and balancing after I cleanse. I will be buying this going forward :)

I have oily combo skin that tends on the dry side during winter, I picked up two bottles so I can share with my Mini Me. When the weather changes she has dry patches so I hope this will be beneficial for her skin. I look forward to giving it a try.

I bought this product few months ago and finished it up in 2 months 😂 I was soaking my face with the cream skin refiner. Why I did it you may ask? My husband gifted me an entire routine/regime of Clarins products and I was so excited to try them. So here's my experience with CSR: it does plump up your skin, brighten up your skin, I can feel my skin getting firmer and deep lines on my neck somewhat was fading. So once the CSR finished, I started with the Clarins. HOWEVER, although I reaaaally wants the Clarins to work, it doesn't. I got breakouts from each of their products (I haven't had pimples or acne in 15 years). Quite disappointing because it is expensive. I think I have a month's worth of Clarins to finish before I can jump to other brands. Now that I tried the Clarins, which didn't work, I'm excited to go back to the CSR. I hope it does its awesome job again.

I have dry ( not dehydrated sin) n i like this but it is nowhere near enough on it's own to battle daily swimming parched skin. I layer it under mosituriser and spritz as well. xoxo

Would you still put a serum (Vitamin C, Retinol etc.) on top of cream skin? I imagine that the serum I'll put on top of cream skin will not fully absorb.

I haven't tried it yet but I will get it soon to use underneath retinol. Retinol is soluble in oil so I think it will protect the skim from drying too much or get irritated but still allow the retinol to do its job. I would prob use niacinamide underneath this amd not on top of it though as niacinamide is water soluble. I am looking forward to play with this a little bit and see how it helps my skin. I think this will be a good moisturizer for me in summer time.

Would u maybe review the ELISHACOY Soonsoo Cream Mist Found it on amazon and amazed and this ingredient list . Just ordered it but thought u may be Interested. Looks like a dupes with a better Ingredient list , zero fragrance and cheaper. The white tea you and the brand tout so much is the second to last ingredient on the list... Not sure how much you need of the extract to have benefits but I'm skeptical that there's enough of a concentration for anyone to actually benefit from the product. Just saying.

I sometimes use an essence with it and sometimes don't, just depends what my skin is needing in that moment. Feel free to experiment with and without essence to find out what your skin likes!

They are similar in concept, the amino acids in laneige are derived from green tea and I believe the hatomugi contains alcohol.

Can you talk about your humidifier? I'm looking at different ones on Amazon, but I'm not sure what to get. 😅 Is your humidifier easy to clean? Seems like frequent cleaning is a must. Is a small diffuser humidifier enough for a small bedroom?

I actually am in the process of looking for a new one as mine died on me. Crane is a reliable brand and yes cleaning must be done frequently so make sure it's something easy to remove and disinfect. I'm relying on my small diffuser now, as my 6 year old humidifier engine finally gave out, and I can tell you it's ok now that the weather is very humid but it won't be enough come fall and winter.

I usually leave mine on all night! Finding one with settings is good too because then you can have it expel less or more depending on the day/condition of the air.

Omg thank you for all the love, it really means a lot to know you enjoy and are helped by my videos because that's the reason I go through all the work to make them! Really feels amazing to know that, thank you! ❤ I actually do only use water and a washcloth in the morning for about 9 months now! I used to suffer that feeling of "skincare build up" in the morning and I used a washcloth to more effectively wash that away. However, either due to my healed moisture barrier or other factors, once I started to use cleanser only at night, I stopped getting "skincare build up" and actually realized my skin absorbed my layers much better!

Hi Kelly, i just got this but i also use corsx snail essence becos im oily dehydrated which one should go first. If i use the cream skin first could the snail essence get into my skin?

I'd try using the snail essence first. I sometimes pair this with the keep cool and soothe serum which is also a gel consistency and it works better before cream skin, in my opinion. Cream skin won't impact it absorbing into your skin but it will probably layer better underneath, definitely play around!

Hi Kelly i just received the Laneige refiner and just wondering should I use this before my Jin Jung Sun face and eye cream or after? I just don't want anything to interfere with the benefits of the Jin Jung cream so i tried putting the Laneige toner after it and it felt weird, any advice? Thanks😚

I usually use cream skin first then the Jin Jung Sung face and eye cream!

I didn't notice an effect on redness as much, I've actually found mugwort/artemisa to be effective in combating redness!

I just saw your review and bought it right away. 😍 But can I ask you something? I have cosrx AHA/BHA as my exfoliating toner, cosrx snail mucin essence and laneige clear c advanced effector ex, how’s the squence above them including laneige cream skin refiner? Since I’ve dry skin with big pores and rough skin. Thank you, I hope you help me 😭❤️

Yay, can't wait for you to try it! I'm unfamiliar with the laneige clear C texture but it would be something like cleanse, cosrx aha/bha, cosrx snail or laneige clear C (whichever is thinner in texture) and then cream skin. When in doubt, put your actives first and then order everything else thinnest to thickest texture.

Kelly Driscoll laneige clear c is like booster / toner if I’m not mistaken. So should’ve I put this laneige csr in the end of step?

Is it ok to use actives after using the laneige cream skin refiner? Even tho it’s moisturising?

Depends of course what you're using, AHA and BHA's should be placed before cream skin, but generally speaking, yes it should not interfere with the use of your active ingredients.

Hi Kelly, such an interesting video as always... I listened very attentively and I also read the whole thread of comments. My evening routine (inspired by you...) is Tiam B5 toner, iunik propolis serum and the moisturiser the beauty of Joseon. As this cream skin is practically a mixture between a cream and a tonic, is it correct to put it after the serum, just before the moisturiser? This is my feeling i should do. Thanks a lot.

You could easily put this before your iunik serum (after the tiam toner) and it would work well, especially since the iunik is a more hydrating texture!

Great review! I have dehydrated and dry skin in winter too but very oily in summer, do you think it's gonna be too much for summer for oily skin? I'm really curious what foundation you use cause your skin always looks like it's glowing and flawless!!!

I think it's best to save for fall/winter when your skin starts to change! Thank you, I'm using missha glow foundation, I really like the dewy/glass skin finish it has!
