I was surprised you cited the 45 series sidewall, I guess it might be common. I'm a Flyin Miata guy, and 195/50/15 is the size they recommend for their rims(15x7), that or the 205 like you were sayin.thanks for the vid, good stuff. I'm running Adven fleva's in 300TW-I like drifting

I still run 14s. 195/60 General RTs on a 14x7. Decent for what they are. Sucks about 14s is there’s nothing left in the middle. No grippy touring tires. 3 season tire. The RT615s would be nice but they don’t like the cold. I drive mine as long as I can. 🇨🇦

Great video on tires! Definitely gave me some direction for my ‘92 Miata’s next set of tires 👍

I have 205/45/16 on 16x7 wheels for my 2002 LS. The tires are stock size. I use the car sparingly.

Nice vid, I'm running the advan flevas now and will be going with either the azenis or the continetal extreme contact tires for my next set

I'm currently running Hankook Ventus RS4s in 245/40r15s on a 15x9 wheel, but since they don't make it anymore.. i may be going down to a 225 and either getting ECFs or the G Force Rival S 1.5s... It's a shame, because 245s on a x9 look so good!

Any recommendations for some more comfortable tires for them bumpy roads? Just got bc coils to deal with my bumpy ride and it hasn’t helped so I’m unsure where to proceed besides tires

Advise the top 3 tires (15r) in your opinion that are perfect for drifting on a underpowered mx5 =D

Huh, wonder why Tire Rack doesnt list the Conti Extreme Contact Sport 02's anymore... 🤔Thats what i was going to go with in 205/50/15 as my summer daily. I should still be able to get them from my local tire shop as they are a certified Conti retailer.

Just last week I looked on there to replace my current set of ECS 02s, and was confused why they weren't coming up lol. I thought I was typing something in wrong

Tried to get them at America’s Tire/Discount Tire the other month and they said they weren’t making them anymore. I got Yokohama Advan Fleva v701 and they’re pretty great

Does any one know if an A7 Hoosier 205 50 15 will rub when on a 15x8 with +28 offset? I have not rolled my fenders. Or would I be better off going 205 50 tire on a 15x7 with +35 offset? I'm going for handling, but the added handling of mounting on an 8" wheel might not be worth the hassle of rolling fenders. I see the A7 runs quite wide. I'm currently on a 205 15 neogen on stock nb wheels 6" with +40 offset. So I think 15x7 puts it to stick out 5mm+12.5mm or 17.7mm beyond my current setup. And then add a few more mm for the a7 running wide. Maybe 2 whole cm beyond my current. Yeah as I think about it, the 8" wide wheel will add another 7mm of offset plus 12.5mm for the 1/2 wheel width or 19.5 mm beyond the 7" wheel, now at 4 cm out from my current, I think I just talked myself out of the 8" rim. But perhaps one of you have ran an 8" wide rpf1 with A7 tire. My miata is 1991. Thanks for thoughts/opinions.

The lack of quality tires in 14" is such a bummer.

I buy new secondhands. Bridgestone suck, dry out in no time. Michelin for me. Little more expensive but last very much longer. I drive my 90hp NA yearround. 14R185's. Perhaps ill try uniroyal or Vredestein raintires next time.
