So glad I found you! I've had a female electric blue for about 2.5 years, since a toddler. Had a male as well but ... she murdered him. She has molted successfully probably six times; very quick, have yet to catch her at it. She is HUGE now. The last time she molted, a few days ago, I noticed what looked like white feathers protruding from under her shell. Tried to gently wipe them away, thinking it was part of the molt that had stuck to her. Thankfully, it didn't work -- research proved it is GILLS. She seems okay, but I'm wondering what do I do at this point? She has tankmates: four corydoras and two very large mystery snails. They don't seem at all interested in her. She spends most of her time, as usual, in her hiding spot. Any idea what went wrong? I would hate to lose her ... who knew one could get attached to a water-dweller? You're definitely right about escape ... imagine my ... surprise? ... at walking into my bathroom and seeing something large and bright blue out the corner of my eye skittering across the floor RAPIDLY. I'd had no idea she was missing. She had to crawl out, leap (or rappel?) off a high dresser, and go on her adventure. I was surprised and very thankful she survived THAT! Thank God it was I who found her and not the cats! Although she probably could take 'em ... aquarium shored up now! She has HOB filtration and a bubbler; should I replace the bubbler with a more powerful wave maker? Is there any supplement I can add to encourage molting sooner with the hope that her gills will go back where they belong in the process? Sorry to be so wordy and ask so many questions; very excited to find someone who knows their stuff about "mini lobsters."

i got one, molted once and 2nd molt failed and passed away. Then i got 2 from the same tank from a store, one was a boy one was a girl. all seemed fine for 2 weeks and then the girl disappeared.. no smell around the house, no clue where it went. next week the boy also disappeared. they were in a 15 gallon with 12 rasporas.. sad, it was cool while i had them. the boy kept grabbin the girl for the dirty lol

Sir,My cray fish tank became full of algae water... Is it ok for the cray fish.I actually can't see my cray fish's so it is difficult to feed them the food...

Algae on the glass or floating in the water (green water)? Either way is fine for the cray fish but has a different solution 👍🏻

So firstly that won’t harm your cray fish at all. To get rid of the green water you have two choices, you can add a UV steriliser which will cause the algae particles to stick together, allowing your filet to pull them out the water, or you can cover you tank COMPLETELY for 2 weeks which will cause the algae to die off due to lack of light.
