I hate working on them Johnston Starleys, I do still have my warm air on my ticket but was thinking about dropping it

@@PlumbLikeTom yeah me too when on the tools. Always got the awkward jobs because the boss knew I’d sort it. I always told workmates that if they were working with me it was the muckiest or most awkward. I used to work all day often without a break or only one as it was the way I was dragged up as an apprentice. One of our guys used to say ‘ get the end of that pipe young un, Not the 2” the 6”! That was in the days of red band pipe but you couldn’t do it with the modern API pipes as they are heavier. You can still get BS10 red band but it’s not used as much now. No wonder my knees are knackered!

This one is going to need some money spending on it soon, ideally individual heating for each flat rather than a communal boiler, thanks for watching as always mate

@@PlumbLikeTom communal heating is probably a 1960's throwback. If it goes to individual flats being heated it will probably go to electric. Some blocks that have gas are being told its going to be cut off because the distribution pipework needs replacing and the network provider wont pay for it .

I reckon it was filled up with rainwater, that was the last manhole before the road and it was just bouncing back, thanks for watching as always mate, it is greatly appreciated
