man i love paladin and been looking for a ret streamer/youtuber for ages, i wasnt a fan of herald/TS but tried your build in a few bgs and i gotta say it feels a lot smoother than the templer autoattack build ive been using since release. great content, gained a new sub for sure
I just dinged 80 and got full greens. Herald is hitting like a truck in the first bgs i tried. I ll do more testing tonight. Thank you for your detailed guide, we appreciate it a lot.
Thank you very much for all the info presented in a realistic way. You've got macros, builds, and timestamps to find in the description! Great vid man!
still loving Templar over Herald even if i like Herald aswell thats the reason i got like multiple paladins to gearing them in multiple ways and do tons of test even with stats comps, i really believe that 1 min burst with AW Might even if its nerfed with Templar has a reason to exist, builded full crit vers on my first ret with aw might and reaching almost 30% crit without enchants, gems, the difference in terms of burst and sustained is alot in my opinion xpecially for the burst. Btw great video as always keep going and do the Ret Job ^_^ for all the Ret community. Peace
i was thinking the same of instant cast flahs light, the amount healed is not good enough in pvp. Maybe in pve helps more but that 6 seconds delay for that little healing doesnt worth it. Thanks for the videos i allways wait for them to have another perspective of this amazing class! God save ret paladins!
Best Pally builder for sure. I’m sorry I’m new. Why did you put points in Heart of the Crusader when you use Templar Strikes and not the auto attack Crusading Strikes. Would that benefit from Heart of the Crusader and not Templar Strikes?
Ma bo' Laden you make the Light bringer himself proud! ... RET Good, whats the addon that shows you Hammer of Wrath is ready on your rotation showcase?
Thanks for this detailed guide, i got 80 today on my pala and im gonna spend tomorrow farming honor! I do hope a CS build becomes viable again in the future cause im not a fan of TS 😂
great video mate just tried it :D feels good! question : which piece we do at catalyst? stats are a bit fucked up on them with the crit. The results from testing it are : final verdict : 538k hammer of wrath got a : 1.5m crit dawnlight dot : average 96k / crit 136k templar slash dot: 129k judgment: 272k templar slash: 420k wake of ashes : average 324k / crit 449k highlord judgment : 291k templar strike: 226k numbers cant lie mate :D
Hey dude, great vid! Question about your burst rotation. I notice you mentioned to use boj when above 35% hp after your initial opener. Im curious why you would not have expurg on the target for your burst, to amplify those dots further? would it make sense to just add a boj infront of the judgement even if it wastes a holy power? thanks in advance (:
Inserting a blade of justice prior to the burst would take away a valuable global for minimal damage increase. Expurgation is only valuable for proccing blessing of anshe, it doesn’t really do too much damage.
Thoughts on using final reck with executioner's will? Prob a bit less damage overall but will be available for every go and aligns almost perfectly with the crusade duration proc from wake. Seems like you will get some decent hits if you crit an An'she proc
Do you not find Hammer of Wrath, hits harder than TS? Like what's your priority system because a lot of high rated Pallies, arnt running TS, simply due to it clogging the rotation. Burst for me = Judge > Stun > Final Reck > Wake of Ashes > FV x2 > Hammer of Wrath > FV > Divine Toll > FV > Hammer I just find the strength of Radiant, is the increased access to Hammer of Wrath which TS stops us from using? Just looking at your damage profile I just wonder if spamming those Hammer of Wraths would make up the difference between TS.
Templar slash hits harder than hammer of wrath thats why. Remember the slash also has a 50% Dot attached to it. It also cleaves. The only time hammer of wrath hits harder than templar slash is during a blessing of anshe proc in execute range.
@@LvladenPvPYou may be ontop something :p but been following all the top Rets, and havent seen anyone else pick it up. Seems like the reward isn't worth the extended rotation tbh. Also have to remember TS, is 2 globals, you're saying those combined out damage two hammer of wraths? So are you only using BOJ on dot re-fresh, and when they're out if range if TS? Like is BOJ now just mega fill for you?
@@suhdoekin8998 Lvlden burst rotation is best case scenario keep that in mind (he also got lucky with wings proc on both examples extending his wings window that wont always happen) in his example the enemy player just stood there... this never happens in live scenarios and so TS is risky because your not always going to be able to use 2 globals in melee range to get it off, rule of thumb should be if you are in range use TS were possible in burst but if you cant subbing in 2 HoW is the safer way to do it, I mainly use avenging wrath and execution sentence and mine looks like this - At 0 or 1 HP (with at least 2 greater judgment debuffs on target) BOJ, execution sentence, wake, FV, FV HoW, HoW, FV. If you get lucky and the opponent is less then 35% after the 2nd FV and you have Blessing of anshe proc the HoW will do massive damage. in Avenging wrath your HoW are + 20 crit chance as well. BOJ + expurgation does do more damage then HoW out side 35% hp in current tuning and TS should be prioritised when in range to use it, but I wouldn't save it for wake window as you need to use TS when you can/If you can. Hope this helps.
Btw haste stat ratio should be a factor of 1 like all other stats right now, but even with full haste gear around 10k haste u still below 20% and it feels clunky.
Was trying to do some testing but wondering what is better with this macro. There is the trinket you currently have which is alarcity and has the chance to grant 3,786 primary stat for 15 seconds and is based off chance. However if you use the badge of ferocity in the macro with wake of ashes in your rotation then every 2x use you will have a guaranteed extra 4486 on your rotation for strength/burst. Every other time you get wings. #showtooltip Wake of Ashes /cast Wake of Ashes /use 13 Thoughts on if this might be better?
The scaling in PvP is also better, with ferocity on strength. The key differences being that the one you are currently uses being. 5 second longer duration, random chance vs guaranteed use with burst, and weaker by 1500 or so strength when scaled
Hey, thanks for the video. Do you think the on-use trinket will be superior to the passive one with Radiant Glory? Just bind it in with Wake and have an amped window every other Wake? I'm fairly new so not sure on the reliability of the passive one's proc rate.
I use the on use when playing radiant glory for Templar. I macro it in with final reckoning. With herald I play the proc because it’s up a decent amount of the time anyway.
You'll likely judge and blade on your way in, you'll need the HP anyhow, and you want the dot out and blade CD running while you cast other stuff. And you should divine toll sooner to get the extra holy power generating for your final verdict window. BUT since you wont have wings up until you're in wake range and wake gives you HP and a DP, the window is closing by the time you get a chance to dine toll... which is why i dont run that wake/wings talent, its too restrictive with the wake setup. I'm going to try the templars strikes but I dont really like them for pvp, too many GCD, and needs melee range. imo its for pve. wings, judge, blade, hammer of wrath, final verdict, tv, divine toll, tv, tv, wake, tv, tv, judge, tv, blade, wrath, tv, wrath, judge, etc.
Is crit worth that much? I know you want to get the Templars strike crit burn and the burnes to ash crit. But I dont think downlight dots or suns avatar dots can crit can they? I read that somewhere.
Is it just me or does suns avatar not apply dawn lights to you when you press wake of ashes with radiant glory talented. Because according to suns avatar tooltip, it should immediately apply dawnlights and if there are no allies arouns, it is not even apply dawnlight to myself
Something must be buggy with eternal flame/wog cause sometimes it heals like a loh and sometimes like nothing. It was way different in df. Haven’t fact checked it yet but just kinda of feeling
I just realized the issue with your build after a lot of testing. Because dawnlights do not stack, there is no point in running radiant glory because when you press wake of ashes, your next 2 spenders will cast a dawnlight, and if you activate crusade, you cast 4 auto dawnlights. So by running radiant glory you instantly lose dawnlights because of overlap.
@@LvladenPvP So every extra dawnlight gives 8 more seconds on top of the previous? So let's say you can do 2x spender + 1x dl from radiant glory. So that's 24 sec of dawnlight?
Do you think Templar it’s viable for rbgs and solo shuffle? I know it’s viable in terms of fun, but if we want to be useful for the team. I find Herald more PvP oriented than Templar but I’m curious about your opinion. Thanks!
mate nice vedios but plz plz can u tell me which one is the best talents build for pvp im so lost here want to know which one is the best to stay with it
I've been disheartened by my ret. It feels like I do way less damage, do way less healing and everything just globals me. I also don't have much in the way of pvp gear but does pvp gear make that much of a difference?
Yeah I'm only getting 800 to 1.1 mill non crits for Templars strike. My feral druid combo move does that much. Gunna be playing that till pally fixed. On a side not wtf is up with versatility?!?! My % so low even tho it's so high
I was hoping in the prepatch that this will not happen. I don't wanna be no sun cringe ahh paladin from tauren made up lore. I want to use TEMPLAR and smash heathen with a holy nuke. Ofc the cringe spec will be meta -_- sadge
