The amount of consoles is mindblowing! I'm a collector myself of consoles as well as games, and you have ones that even I don't have so it's always cool to learn more about them. Great game room!
When the video started I thought this was going to be a minimalist's speech about having less stuff and more happiness. I was NOT disapointed! I love how everything is organized, great room!
That Game Room is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the tour!!!! While I don't have a room nearly that size, you did give me some ideas that I can utilize in my little game room/office.
@@GameDadShow Well, it's all a blank slate right now as I took everything down as I am working on reconfiguring it, but will definitely share when it's finished. Hey, what brand of HDMI switches do you use if you don't mind me asking?
Heck yes. Already have ideas for new things over this year. Plus I didn’t show the mechanical room yet but that will be my workshop for 3d printing, embroidery, DTF, modding, etc
Love the Lego shelves! They display very well! Oh Yoshis! Those are super cool too! It’s nice seeing the games easily accessible and ready to go! Love how it has turned out!
This is super awesome and I'm super jealous. I wish I had a basement in our 144 year old house like that. At least I have the largest room and would love to add built in setup and storage options like you have. Thanks for sharing as game room tours like this help give the rest of us some ideas for our own spaces. Great video! Take care! 🟩
Amazing room and collection. Congratulations because I know it’s hard work. Unfortunately I love to nitpick and have to ask about the dust. Do you have dust covers for your consoles and toys? Also is food allowed downstairs? Especially with it being a work station. In my messy game room I have a chair and table because I love drinks and snacks and my whole collection is in Rubbermaid tubs to avoid dust and my kids from destroying my games, lol
I regularly dust so that’s not an issue, and yes I allow food and drink because we do movie nights. My kids know not to mess with things and to be careful though. All good :)
Dig that the computer area has its own defined space away from the tv area due to the divider wall. Not everyone has the square footage to do that in a dedicated space. The key is not over cluttering the areas with EVERY game-related thing you own. Rotate memorabilia and things in and out to keep things interesting and “new” every once in a while.
Good question. Don’t know. Haven’t used a quest 3 yet. But it does have some pretty cool tech in it and looking at the fact that it’s WAY cheaper considering you don’t need a console as well. Probably the quest 3
Incorrect. The slat wall and media shelving are from Grand + Benedicts. I used to live in California and their show room was only about an hour away from where I lived. Each game wall is made up of two 4'x8' pieces of raw and unpainted slat wall. When I built out my game room and finished my basement I used the same white primer that I used on the walls, then painted them the same gray color that I used on the walls. To finish them off for a nicer, more seamless look, I used 1" quarter round that I painted with that same gray, then I brough the baseboard on the walls directly up to it to create more of that built in look.
Well when you have a problem and keep buying them…lol it was mainly because I had 3+ months building the game room, then another 2 months setting it up
@@GameDadShow it’s cute that they still give you an allowance. I just wish my parent’s basement looked like yours when I was living with them. I’m super jealous, sleepovers must be a blast too! 😝
Yoooooo it’s cool I hav kinda the same set up!! But u anit ever playing those games it’s just stuff !! Get rid of all that stuff u don’t play make Tomm for better stuff 😮
@@sade281 I never said I play them all the time? There are several I’ve played once, several I play all of the time, several I’ve beaten once or many times over, and several I’ll likely never play again. Don’t presume to know me and what I do with my free time when you don’t. You’re entitled to your opinion of course, but that’s just it, it’s an opinion, and it’s wrong and not only do I not care if you believe me, but I in fact don’t care what you think at all. Do with that what you will, like it or not, my video, my game room, my games, and I get to do whatever the hell I want with them :)
@@willieriley1241 i don't need to be a true collector. I only play whatever games available. Why should I collect limited edition of a system when it's purpose is to play game? I have about 3 ps4, 3 xbox one and many others consoles plus extra. The purposes for that is to have backup incase if the main system break. In most cases the extra are bought used. Of course i test it out 1st before storing it away. I put away my snes, nes and Genesis because I got the retro trio which play all 3. Less cords and less hookup. Convience. The limited edition system is just a coat. It's play games just like the standard version.
That’s a pretty stupid take…so what about the dozens of other consoles I have that you don’t? Or the literal thousands of games that I have that you don’t? Does that mean you’re not a “true collector”? No. It means you have a different collection, doesn’t mean your collection is any less. It’s your stupid take on the matter that makes your opinion less. No reason to put someone down because you don’t like something about them or what they do or don’t have. Do better.
Nice stuff but the fact that you don't have a proper surround sound set up with your OLED and projector is subpar. Sound is 1/2 of the gaming experience and you are selling yourself short with a sound bar with stuff piled in front of it blocking the sound stage. 🤦♂️
It’s a small space (10x12) with no need for a full surround, as for the stuff in front of it, its a non issue because they are upward firing speakers, and even if they weren’t, the things in front of it are so small it’s inconsequential. Oh and side note, it’s a Neo QLED, not an OLED ;)
I have a deaf friend with a collection that could slap most people in the face; tell him sound is 1/2 of the gaming experience. You'll have to do it in ASL, though.
@@GameDadShowI have a small media room too and have a 5.1.2 Atmos set up. It can work and work well. Looks like that's an Atmos bar, your consoles will pipe in sound using the discreet channels in the bar. Upward effects will be routed to the upward firing speakers only. It does not address what you are blocking in the center and left/right channels. Great room but you are doing a disservice to the sound.
