I think it’s actually just the tail end of Mario saying “wahoo!” After he completes a stage. Ryu just cut it before he said “one” and it just happened to sound like “two.” Good catch tho
This was a really entertaining Super Expert run to watch, there were even some hidden gems among the pile of typical SMM junk. The last level was tough but totally beatable for you, it's always a bit heart breaking to see some specific trick drain most of your lives in a jiffy while the rest isn't all that bad, great effort though! :)
17:23 For those who don’t get that, a few months ago Ryu did a SMW hack (I forget which one). On life 44, he entered a level but the footage was never seen, just a straight cut to life 45, with the text “don’t ask what happened on life 44”. Soon after, “What happened on life 44” comments flooded his videos. They have since disappeared, but it’s nice to see Ryu acknowledge and reference it, even so many months later.
This may be one of the best sets of levels you've gotten so far. A fun Giant Mario level, a tough but satisfying and creative New Soup precision stage, a really simple 10 second run, a crazy creative spring-based level, a CloonDog race level, then some Mario Maker bullshit to wrap it all up.
Yeah, okay Ryu, I hear you, that Bomb-Level was great, but I really loved that double-spring-adventure. One of the most creative levels I have ever seen! What a great hundred-man!

Damn, 3 good levels out of 6? Gotta be one of the best super experts I’ve seen, as far as levels are concerned. On a side note, I think if they make a MM2, they should make a mandatory voting system for levels you play, clear or not. Then, after so many dislikes/negative votes, the level can no longer be in a 100 man rotation.

I have watched countless hours of Ryu playing Mario, and all I can say is he is way underrated and deserves a lot more subs. Tbh not real sure how he not at a million yet . Great guy. Great content.

The "classic no-skip" is probably my favorite category that you run, but I would like to see some kind of "mercy" rule that, in extreme cases, you can skip a level. I'd rather see 5-10 levels than see you burn through 100 lives in a single level. A mandatory "you must skip after N lives" rule is harsh, but I think you can have the option to skip eventually. Like, if you die 10 times and don't think you're making any progress, you can choose to skip. That would show us a bunch of levels and would still be nail-biting and entertaining.
Watching him die 100 times on the first jump of a stupid gimmick level isn't exciting. Seeing new and interesting levels, and trying to get to the end of the run are more exciting than that.
I completely agree with you. I love 100 mans, but I find it very boring and almost infuriating when players do a no skip run. I don't want to see them fail at a stupid/impossible/annoying/boring level. Of course they should always try and do their best but when it becomes clear that the level in question is going nowhere, they should definitely skip. The novelty of "no skip" has already worn off anyway.
That’d kinda take away from the point of it, these are also meant to help make the player better at the game, you dont have to beat every 100 mario challenge ya know

Did you notice that level 5 was telegraphed with every action in the rails on the background? The Z is spin, the open box is throwing or dropping, the line is motion, and the curve is picking up.

I’ve got an idea for a run! No lives to start with, you start at easy mode and if you get out of that stage with 6 lives, you have 6 lives to start of with the normal stages. And so on and so on!
11:20 i think one being a little off is intentional, cause of how the spikes are angled :) if it would be right above the other spring, you could be falling off behind very easily. maybe this was badly worded, but i hope you understand :)
