New subscriber here. I’ve watched 25 or 30 truck load out videos and for me this is the most well thought out, concise set up I’ve seen. I cannot afford a load out this elaborate, but this has given me the best base model to work from. Passing it forward. Thanks a ton brother for sharing 🫡🇺🇸
Thank you brother. I started with nothing and slowly added what I could when I could. A lot of my higher end gear has come from industry trades that I’m blessed to have received. 🫡🇺🇸
As a gun owner and enthusiast why are most people with all this gear not taking care of themselves physically? Like that’s great you have all that gear but it looks like you couldn’t do 30 push-ups and run 2 miles without having to stop for a break.
This is a great production and it left me with more questions than ideas. This will come across snarky but not intended as I'm really trying to gain ideas of needed items vs marketed items. I liked the set up in the truck however, the rear hatch window was the obvious security risk compared to the side windows. Not sure if there are potentials to fortifying a fiberglass shell. Great ideas though. I got lost when you spoke about carrying just enough water to get you to where you have resupply opportunities but then go on to carry 3 rifles for raiding buildings, tripod mounted 600m COD headshots, and light duty battle rifle. Not to get into the weeds about your ideology of preparing-- but are you setup to get to the resupply/rally point "home" or beyond? Hope you have plans to increase the range of the truck and to transport water.
Love the set up and i wouldnt suggest running 5.56 through a .223 barrel but you can run .223 through a 5.56 barrel no problem. Also nato round is 5.56 so it could go iether way with abundance of ammo around i would rather have a 5.56 than a 223 and since i have a 5.56 i can run 223 with no problems again my friend messed his up bad he had to geta new upoer he thought he had a 5.56 and so thats what he always shot through a few thousand rounds later took to gun smith and he said dude wrecked it shooting only 5.56 through a 223 barrel smoked it .
Solid advice brother. That’s why I I run a 223 wylde. It gives you the accuracy of a 223, but handles the chamber pressures in 556, but only a 223 wylde will handle those pressures.
You do realize that people post videos on channels like mine to help other people out, right? And you did hear the part in the video where I said I’ve been hesitant to post this video, right?
I was thinking the same thing. Why bust out a side window when the rear hatch is the most vulnerable and has the greatest accessibility to the contents. I do like the Molle set up for convenience.
@ooie1975g there’s other people that have commented on this in the thread. The rear window is currently ballistic Lexan with upgraded locks. I have plans to add MOLLE panels to it as well, but when I did, I realized that I needed upgraded hydraulic shocks and if not done that yet. as far as the water like, I said, in the video I have three days worth of water for three people. That should be enough to allow me the ability to find more water and if I do, there’s of room in the back of my truck to store water. There’s no reason to debate what rifles I choose. If you want to choose different rifles, you’re more than welcome.
Nice timing you've got Tim currently setting up some gear for the car so taking note's just heard today that's the nighthawk being sent out to me aswell man I'm looking forward to receiving that n got a nightstalker cqc ordered aswell thanks for sharing your knowledge brother
I built something similar with my 03 chevy 2500. But I got a cot mattress. Roof rack with road shower tank. I like the steel molle panel idea, gonna have to invest in that. Awesome setup and video
I think you should have the most simple and therefore reliable vehicle. Easy to fix, easy to maintain. Also, an armored vehicle, like those used for transportation of money, could be useful. Fuel consumption is an issue too.
Hey Tim, I feel ya on holsters for the x-Macro. Try the Muddy River Tactical iwb! Fits the TLR 7A and is a sweet holster. Love it. Also, love my Stryker and Sapper!! Thanks for this video. Love your ideas!
If we are following the rules of gun safety, no gun needs to be 'clear.' Also, painting that gun will break up the black way better. Those hard outlines will be easy to spot in the woods, if that's the goal/plan. Aside from that, excellent video.
Agreed on the ‘clear’. You wouldn’t believe the amount of people that will comment about you not showing that if firearm is clear on RU-vid like they’re in danger on the other side of their phone. I typically do make my rifles multi-tone with diffent colors of stocks, hand guards, paint etc. These are still really new, so I’m enjoying them being pretty. Again excellent advice
@@TkellKnives Those people complaining are basically pointing out a classic joke: Tell me you haven't received professional training without saying you haven't received professional training. You've got a really awesome rig there. I only say paint the gun because after painting a few things I'm obsessed haha. And I appreciate you taking the time to send a reply and thank you for the compliment. Cheers, brother.
RU-vid creates alot of “experts”. It’s easy to tell by observation of vernacular and movements who has and has not spent actual time behind a weapon. They see the gun tuber show clear all the time and they think that that’s what you’re supposed to do because they don’t have any experience around other humans using weapons systems. When in reality, those of us that have to deal with RU-vid guidelines, know that showing a clear weapon or announcing a clear weapon or unloaded weapon will keep your video from being blocked, shadow banned, or demonetized. I have a very vivid memory of a PMI in the Marine Corps slamming a student to the ground at MCT, kneeing him in the face, because he flagged the line with a known UNLOADED M-16. If you don’t practice proper firearms safety in the environment that I come from, getting kneed in the face is the least traumatic thing that can happen. Same here I have a collection of plastic foliage, netting, various earth tones of rattle cans from krylon, and alumahyde, tapes etc. all for “art projects” to break up the signature of gear.
I’d probably just answer whatever questions they had, but that mostly depends on the circumstances. I’m not breaking the law by having these items, and they are secured inside locked containers as is required to transport firearms. I subscribe to the theory that If I don’t act like I’m doing dumb things, I typically don’t get asked dumb questions. I haven’t been pulled over very many times in my 26 years of driving. If it’s within a pretty big range of home they would likely know me and also that I’m of no threat to them or anyone else.
Well I no what I need my future setup to look like.. I love the setup. Easy to get to, secure 🔐, and can keep a small army at bay if need be. Keep the videos coming.
Just my pet peeve: Having to "show" guns are not loaded to satisfy the snowflakes and self appointed youtube police. UGH You are not anywhere near me and even if you pointed a loaded gun at the camera it is no threat to me. You are only responsible for you. UGH
it's a really nice set up, but i would be to paranoid to have all that gear in my truck. i am a contractor and have had tools taken and have seen more cars and trucks broken in to. i guess what i am saying is that i would not want to help arm people who could use my stuff against me and my family
loved this video , short an sweet on each item you showed ,not like all these other guys talking an talking and saying nothing or saying same crap over an over gets boring , you did a great job keep this type of video up ,great job again ,god bless america an long live the republic ,merry xmas 2023 ,god keep your family safe .
Won't run after a e m p you need a cart . P.s. the will come in thru the back window or vice grip the Handel on the back your stuff is there's that got your drawers.
Your knives are awesome, I ordered a Nightstalker. My truck gun is a Sig Rattler SBR, Midwest sidefolding stock,Banish 30 Gold can, Eotech holographic site with the donut of death reticle, magpul front grip, back to back 30 round subsonic .300 Blackout mags; dont leave home with out it!Cant wait to get my Nightstalker ; great video!
Thank you brother. It’s an honor that you choose one of my blades, when you obviously have great taste in firearm. I just recently got a Rattler LT .300AAC with the 6.75 inch. Pistol (waiting on the form 1). Primary arms Vulcan reticle with micro 3x magnifier. Both on unity high rise with the magnifier in the FTC mount. Magpul rail scales. CGS Hyperion can (STILL in jail). It’s My first 300 blackout and I love it more than I thought. Seekins and Rattler…we have similar taste. I have nx15 Seekins with the EO Tech exps3 with a g33 magnifier. It’s crazy heavy not sure yet if I like it better than the razor 1-10 I took off of it. Big fan of LPVO on non SBR length
I also bought a Seekins AR-10, great rifle , mine was .308, I loved the flat bottom on the rail; but I owed my brother in law money, gave it to him, now I have a Wilson Combat Recon rifle in .308, I liked the Seekins Precision better
I understand EDC and a truck gun, even a small get home bag.But really? Out of all the scenarios that could lead to a SHTF, I don’t believe Red dawn is one of them.Time spent in my truck is minimal compared to my time at home ,so unless you have double the resources at home??? I don’t want to be loading and unloading each time I go somewhere. And would hate to worry about my truck every time I left it at night in a dark parking lot.A 4.5 in battery powered hand grinder will have all that gear gone in 10 minutes. But after all that great setup and video! Hope someday we can all look back at all the money spent on our apocalypse gadgets ,supplies and man toys, sake our heads ,laugh and thank god we didn’t need them.😂🇺🇸🇺🇸Keep strong!
My situation may be different than yours. If I’m out and things go down that is what I want with me. An AR, a shotgun, and a long gun are not unreasonable firearms to have. Extra ammo and the proper gear to carry it just makes sense if I have the room. I have a decked system because in my line of work I have to travel with expensive firearms occasionally and that is much more secure than just the truck bed. My plate carrier does no good on my wall at home if I’m out where the people that would shoot me are. It is incredibly rare that I am away from home for much more than an hour. I run a business that keeps me there for far more hours than most men work. If I do stay away from home and it’s not with family, it’s in an Air B&B so far from the fray that the chance of someone breaking into my truck is so low that it does not even bear mentioning. I have much more than double this loadout at home. The only time my truck is in a dark parking lot is if I’m in it. If I’m in a store, which is also incredibly rare, it’s for less than the time it takes to absorb lead from my CCW while trying grind open my stuff. I have 75 yard shooting range in my back yard and plenty of local friends with places for long range shooting. I’ve been blessed and have worked my fanny off my entire life to have a pretty great situation. Active shooters are a real threat, civil unrest in the states is at its highest point since the Civil War. Most of the time I stay at home with my favorite humans, my wife and kids and enjoy life. We do everything together and live in a place that within an hours drive we have so much recreation to enjoy. I’m pretty happy with my setup. Thank you for watching, I say this often. If I over prepared and I’m wrong, I can eat my food, and shoot my ammo. Other wise I’ve always enjoyed to outdoors, training in the Marine Corps and civilian world, so I have the stuff anyway and I don’t mind taking the extra steps daily to take precautions to ensure my family is the most safe when we are away. It’s just loading some stuff and they are 100% worth the extra effort it takes on my part. I’m a man and I feel honored that this is my job.
I don't see a wheelbarrow. Gonna look silly hand bombing firewood with a thousand bucks (10,000?) worth of blades and no wheelbarrow. But, I haven't watched the video yet, so I will eff off now.
Keep your mag in your rifle. There's no sense in having it in a zipper bag that isn't accessible without popping that decked thing out. If you need something shorter than a 30 rounder to get it to fit, slap a 20-round mag in it. Also, if the tacos don't retain your mags, get some esstac kywi pouches. Love the ATS Tactical stuff. I have their plate carrier and chest rig.
Good suggestion. I have reasons that I don’t keep loaded magazines of any capacity in my long guns while transporting. Just a personal preference. My scenario based training incorporates mag insertion and round chambering. Train with how you choose to load-out. ATS is great stuff, family owned American made gear!
FYI, most factory alarms only go off if a door is opened. No, hood, shell, tail gate, vibration sensor (window breaks). A common tactic is to back up next to your car or truck. Roll their rear window down. Break your window, crawl into your car from theirs, toss your stuff back into theirs then crawl back. Most people won't notice unless you are directly watching them.
There are measures incorporated into the back window to harden against theft. As stated in the video 90% of the gear is behind the tailgate, which has a more than factory lock and inside the deck system, which also has more than factory locks.
What if shtf and your truck becomes disabled and you have to leave all that behind. I'm not knocking your set up, it's freaking awesome and I want one. Just wondering?
That’s definitely a concern. I’d hope that I had enough passengers to divide the loadout. If not I’d have to be selective on what I would take on foot and just abandon the rest.
You leave all that stuff in your truck all the time? Are you not worried about someone breaking into your truck or just stealing the truck entirely? I don’t even keep change in my car here in Philly. There’s no way I’d leave a gun in my car, much less several guns and several thousand dollars in gear.
I don’t leave it unless I’m running into somewhere that I’d be back within the time it’d take to break in. I load and unload every time I leave the house. Its work but my wife and kids really appreciate the diligence and extra work
Impressive, you must not have children or you have some kind of business to pay for so much. I would love a set up like that, but I’m looking at I’m guessing at least $160k there
I like the setup, but I didn’t see any tools or truck recovery/repair beyond some straps. What if your truck breaks down? Get a flat tire? Get hit with another Georgia Snowpocalypse?
I mean, really great Kit etc. problem I see is so much of your setup depends on your truck being with you at all times. Also, a ton of luxury gear you’d never have time/ability to use in a gunfight. Seems very cop minded and would take a lot of time to stage
It depends on my truck being with me, because It’s a truck load-out video. I have a range with scenario base setups in my yard, I am proficient with what I own, very familiar with it takes to run this stuff. Because I have a spotting scope, rangefinder’s, and other advanced gear doesn’t mean I’m stopping what I’m doing in a firefight to set it up for every mission set. A ‘mission support site’ is just that, a place to grab the gear you need dependent on the situation. Grabbing an M4 and putting rounds down range takes no setup. This is a small representation of the gear I have at my disposal, I don’t carry all of my gear with me. I’ve got backups for my backups in more than one location, not just my truck. Marine not Cop.
I’ve got the FNX 45 can somebody tell me who makes a good inside and outside the waistband holster for it. Great video I live in Deep South Ga so we live eat sleep guns down here Lol 😂 but I see I’m way behind on load out gear
I like Alien gear for IWB. The shapeshift is my first choice if they make it for your model, cloak as a second. OWB I like Urban Carry lock leather (not the g3 inside the pants thing) Safariland 6300 for duty style holsters. And the GLS safariland holsters are good for daily OWB. I’m on the opposite end of Ga NW corner almost to Chattanooga. Thanks for watching
What have you done to prevent theft of the vehicle? It is amazing how fast F150 can be stolen. My truck weapons are only ones I can afford to loose 😢😢.
Did our host ever consider the fact that in his SHTF situation the supply of fuel will run out within a week? What do you do with you truck load out when the truck can't go anywhere because it doesn't have gas.
What are you going to do if you have to ditch your truck, I mean all that stuff is cool. Watching you decide what to take and what to leave behind would be a blast, god I hope all of your shtf stuff isn't in your truck
That’s not accurate. I used one for years in the Marine Corps and have used one for 20 years since. I have literally used an Alice pack for hundreds of miles of humping
I wouldn't be able to sleep at night with all that gear left in my truck. 😬 If i ever decide to keep a loadout in my truck, it will have to be a compromise of i trust my life to it, but i would survive if i lost it.
I’m the same way. I would be afraid someone would break into my truck and then have everything they need to invade my house. I don’t leave it in my truck at night. I unload all the armament and store it. If I leave anything overnight it’s just support gear. Same as when I go to the shooting range. Load it up when I leave unloaded it when I return. I’d be upset if my truck were stolen with this gear inside but it wouldn’t be the end of the world. I have back ups for my back ups 😉
Oh yeah, I should be using donkeys. But then they could break a leg. 🤷🏻♂️ I guess I’ll just sell everything, how stupid of me to have provisions in my daily driver.
You may absolutely need to defend your position with long range rifle fire. You won’t be on the move forever, at some point you’ll stop moving and may need to take well aimed shots at distance. Even for simply harvesting game. A bipod or tripod add negligible weight especially mine that are carbon fiber. They take up minimum space in your truck. Why not give yourself the advantage of a stable shooting platform. I’m not sure what you mean by do a ballistics test. Ballistics are how your projectile preforms at known distance, known cross winds, know rates of coriolis etc. Knowing those factors from your position is a huge bonus. Especially when ammo supply maybe limited. As we said in the Marine Corps “one shot, one kill”. Having a set of good binos is essential for more reasons than need listing. The internal range finder in the binoculars and ballistics data is a perk. It’s really not a big deal to have any of these things.
Good stuff here but my fear is this, your out away from home when an emp takes out your vehicle so now you can’t carry all your stuff obviously you have to take what you can carry and ditch it?
There is some risk of that. Taking your most effective items on person and stashing the rest is probably what I’d do. I take more of a SERE approach, my goal is to get out of the current situation. Most research shows that Your vehicle has slim chance of being affected by emp, somewhere between 0-30%. That is enough risk to at least think about the what ifs though. Valid points, thank you!
The 3 day food and water pack should suffice to get me home, or at least to a place to harvest game, and find a water source. The small tent in the Alice pack will keep me dry if I’m not using the truck for shelter. I take a SERE approach.
