This is not exclusive to Sagisu, sometimes a movie score gets some tracks cut and instead of just throwing it away a composer might decided to use in another movie. In this case a track for Berserk that went unused was instead put into this Evangelion movie.

I was going to say that this song reminded me of " Blood and Guts " from 2016 Berserk since the Choir and the the use of the Electric Guitar in a Orchestra reminded me a lot from it. But someone pointed out it the same artist worked on both tracks which I thought was really cool.

DOOMGUY'S THEME

This is an awesome music, but those who say this is Guts' Theme are wrong in my opinion. I think it would serve more as Griffith's Theme (after his reincarnation), where all of his actions as the Hawk of Light (and his true form of Femto; the Wings of Darkness) are to ensure the creation of his Kingdom, Falconia. Griffith was already an incredibly skilled rapier wielding combattant, and strategist who battled without compassion. As Femto, his powers are limitless to the point he can erase someone from existence just by clenching his fist, he became more than a soldier, more than a killer, he became one of the God Hand. And his reincarnation brought the Hawk of Light unto the world, a being of no sorrow. His life as Griffith all lead to the Eclipse. His rebirth as Femto brought the Age of Darkness upon the world. And his reincarnation on the physical plane of existence brings about the downfall of the kingdoms and empires of Mankind (especially Midland, which Griffith will use in his plan to full effect). In the calculated actions that have been dictated by the laws of Causality, Griffith makes the world an unliveable place for Mankind by causing the fusion of the physical and astral planes of existence, which bring countless monsters Man cannot fight against.
