Yo guys! Need help? I have a Discord server now! Join here: discord.gg/c5rnftzqsf I also realized I've mistakenly cut some crucial steps out of the video, so here they are: At 10:02 The missing step is to parent the spider-rig to the empty, in that order, with (keep transform). This'll let spiderman follow along with the empty's actions as you see me rotate him.
still doesnt work for me. I parented the empty to the spider rig and the empty still wont rotate spidey and he still runs in place while the empty stays with the hipbone
bruh thanks a lot! When you made the first video I had no idea how to do anything and I was just getting started with blender, I didn't manage to do much other than import couple of assets, move the character in a simple "follow path" run and jump animation.Better than nothing but was far from the result I wanted. The frustration of not being able to replicate your work led me to dive deeper, and I'm using blender every free hour I've got. I've been learning more stuff and now I'm more confident to navigate into the software.Still far from master it obviously but now after a few weeks I'm watching this video and I'm super happy to see that the things you're doing are actually things that I've practiced. Can't wait to get started with this. huge thanks
Omg i am watching you from Azerbaijan and i am 16 y.o started blender in September and now i know the basics of blender and your tut made me start doing some animation.Thank you for this.Keep it up my friend.😊
This is easily one of the best tutorial's I've followed, if I had to give constructive criticism I'd suggest maybe spending some more time talking about lighting the scene at the end. Looking forward to future videos!
Thanks for the comment man! If you get a result out of it please feel free to upload and share! And thanks for the feedback! Tbh this project took like 2 months for the animation + tutorials and I admit near the end of it all I just wanted to wrap it all up haha. So much goes into my process for composition, lighting and rendering and I hope to expand on that in a future project that's hopefully shorter and just as exciting. Stay tuned!
bro iam a blender beginner and you said you need some experience with blender . bro iam a beginner and i need to make this please can you upload a detailed video for begners i hope beginners like me i will suffer to make this if you upload that video. i tried about 4 times and i failed to make with this tutorial.its my request can you please upload a detailed video please😥😭🙏
As someone who knows literally NOTHING about Blender, this helped a lot in starting it. I'm hoping to make a legitimate animation in the future with some friends.
22:22 you could have made him turn into a ball for more impulse, it's hard to explain on text but the sam raimi swinging scenes will do most of the explanation, just makes it more realistic seeing spider-man take speed by impulsing himself
i definitely commited to too many buildings lol, idk im commited to making a fat reusable scene of at least skyscrapers with some detail, solid tutorial, glad the addon imports churches uniquely, might pay for it tbh cant find much on the paid version to see if that looks good in renders without much extra work
Do you have an active discord link? I need some assistance I'm having 1 small issue that I can't figure out, have restarted twice hoping I missed something but same result all 3 times. 10:42 My empty is not connecting to the spider rig so once I play the key frames the empty connects to that root bone and I get the body movement of running but he never actually moves position. EDIT: Disregard, totally forgot about the parenting you mentioned somewhere in the comments. Thanks!
Thanks for the great tutorial, you're the best! I understand that the model originally had a mixamo rig, otherwise how did you retarget and generate the rig with the mixamo addon, and if the model doesn't have a rig it has to be loaded into mixamo first, retarget the animation and then generate the rig with the controls?
You're welcome. Your question is a little unclear for me. But let me rephrase the steps. The Spider-Man Model I used comes with a Mixamo Skeleton, in it's basic armature form I do my animation retargeting first, then after that I create the special advanced mixamo control rig, that is essentially how the process works. There are many ways to convert other armatures to mixamo rigs easily, for example using the expy kit addon, or like you mentioned re-rigging through the mixamo webpage.
@@Regoliste Yes, I didn't initially realize that the model comes specifically with the Mixamo fittings, which is what allowed you, without uploading the model to the Mixamo web page to create a special advanced Mixamo control setup directly into the blender. Could you please make a tutorial on how to convert other armatures into a armatures to mixamo?
@@rixelz9001 Sorry but I don't make tutorials on tiny details like that. I focus on broader exciting themes around 3d animation. There's plenty of good content out there already, you just have to know where to look. The expy kit addon I mentioned already has in-depth tutorials for your question.
It's self-explanatory , I only set up and export a 'motion path', Motorica AI then takes the path and generates new realistic walk/run animations all by its own. There's a couple of parameters to blend certain running styles and random differentiations but that's how it works.
hey i need help when you added the emty and you put selection to curson you started to rotate the emty and the spider was rotating with it too i dont understand how?
Hey man! That's my bad I somehow cut a critical step, but it's super easy and takes two seconds, the missing step is to parent the spider rig to the empty. Select the spider rig first, then shift select the empty, hit control P and parent to object with (keep transform) I have more details on the discord! discord.gg/mmJa5jH3
Try this discord link: discord.gg/7frwCsQ2 I used an asset library addon called Blenderkit to import one of the sky HDRs: www.blenderkit.com/asset-gallery-detail/c2b9b869-f4c9-461a-8796-12c8b64c54d5/
Hey, I tried adding the empty plane at 10:00 but my empty plane is not attatching to the spider rig, its attaching to the rootbone? do you got a discord or something?
That's odd, we basically want to position the empty in the center of spiderman to parent later, we use our 3d cursor as a method of bringing objects to that cursor, we bring the cursor to the selected hip bone to center it in his waist, we then simply bring the empty to 3d cursor. This shouldn't have anything to do with the rootbone. Make sure to carefully follow my example, and work in the world origin with transforms applied. I do have a discord server but it's in the works and private, but I could open it up if you're looking for help, here's the invite link: discord.gg/hGeWYd39
I'm having an issue with the mixamo add-on where the add-on wouldn't let me use control rig function (an error pops out), is there a way to fix it? (I'm using blender 4.0 btw)
bro iam a blender begning can you please upload a detailed video sometimes i cant understand wht you do bro its my request please upload a detailed video and iam a big fan of you hope you will upload the video i wait for it.
This is the Extended Tutorial for my Spider-Man animation. My last video glanced over the ideas and made it fun. But in this video, we dive deep into the step by step process and explore what it takes to accomplish the final Spider-Man scene. I know a lot of fans have been asking for this, so hope you enjoy!
You used to be able to download the motorica template from the documentation but not anymore. You can find a copy in Motorica's discord server where people share the file
I used an asset library addon called Blenderkit to import one of the sky HDRs: www.blenderkit.com/asset-gallery-detail/c2b9b869-f4c9-461a-8796-12c8b64c54d5/
Oh what that sounds strange, all types of light have the 'use nodes' button in the shader editor, make sure you're selecting the light and in cycles maybe?
@@ronak9303 sounds like you just need to set a directory in the addon settings found in edit > 'preference' > 'extensions' >blosm Basically the addon needs a folder location to save the extracted data.
@@ronak9303 You don't need any API key to extact the basic 'openstreetmap' data, they'll ask for an API key only when you're trying to extract Google 3D Tiles specifically, so make sure to extract the correct data properly, there's not much else I can say to help you, theres dozens of forms online covering these things.
As mentioned this tutorial is not for beginners. Small steps are skipped in the video so you will not be able to do it step by step. If that is okay with you, go for it.
Thanks for the summary, although the tutorial is well edited, I've made sure to include pretty much every step along the way, especially the technical aspects.
Hey, I'm new to blender and I just started a channel and just made a spider man animation with the help of this tutorial, please check it out, I subbed btw , love your animation, and thanks for the tutorial
@@muzangoldeath2 I understand that is what you believe I know this video didn't make much sense for me to post it but it doesn't really matter where I post it I just want people to know the truth of course to you its not and I'm sorry about that. I'll pray Edit: sorry if course I should ask why do you think that Jesus isn't God
