I was using a tool patch to run my light commercial refrigeration and ac calls. But now I can fit all my essentials in there! Great video buddy! Amen we do need more of those people! My girl is getting into the blue collar field as well. Very proud of her 💪🏼
rite it IS a man's purse, just look around or watch yourself... sometimes many times.. you'll be rummaging around towards the bottom... looking for something.. just like your mom/wife/gf/sister/SiL/aunt...etc... SFMF
You are carrying too much weight with too much redundancy and specialization IMO, and the additional weight is stressing those bags. Slightly less if well planned is a little more in this case. Like 3 needle nose i am 1/3 the waythrough the vid and and I am sure there are more. I have also seen costly brand loyalty in the fluke meters so far. LOVE THIS VID! i am not putting down just noticing! The tools taken out, would not be far away, in a small metal tool box behind drivers seat seat. to do trades of tools before walking in the house. or Biz.
Only 2 spare batteries on board 😱🤣 and no backup 12m battery eather 🤦♂️ where I work people borrow from my tool bucket(s) and I had to basically create a mess and hide my good stuff in the clutter as camouflage
I love industry specific kits. Years in live production entertainment then military then HVAC I've had so many kit bags and tools have migrated from kit to kit.. that homemade amp tester is going in my kit next. That's brilliant. Over the years I like seeing a masters kit, because it always has that 1 tool or maybe 2 that the apprentice looks at and goes what?why?!, I love finding that tool and the reason why it's there.
Impressive collection. I've never owned curved needle nose, but now I gotta try a pair. Re: 4-way screwdrivers, that's where I've headed too. Much better than a bunch of small bits. Magetizer/demagnetizer: never knew about it, but that's another I gotta try.
Hey man. Just came upon your channel tonight. Nice. I do alot of the same work. Great to see someone still jacked up about the work they do( and how tools play into that) will be keeping an eye out for your videos.
Will you please make a video teaching how to read electrical prints for industrial machine's, both PLC and analog. Thank you for taking the time to teach us, keep up the great work!
honestly like to see what you carry in tool pouch like those 6 slot ones, kinda curious, I have bag, but it kinda annoying haul around plant and get in way alot times because most ladders have that guard around them.
I carry this bag everyday. No belt, just the bag. I have a mobile toolbox for bigger more stationary jobs. I’ve posted toolbox tours on my channel. Go ahead and check them out!
Ugly's makes an app you can download. Costs a few bucks but it's searchable and very handy when you're in the field and the bag you brought doesn't have your book in it. Highly recommend 👍
Dude cuts corners on his tools where else does this guy cut corners? Take pride and your tools and your work surprise. He didn’t have a cheap meter. No insulated tools.
I’m in the habit of keeping two of the cheap rechargeable headlights and I just constantly swap which is charging. I’ve screwed up a couple times but it’s definitely easier than trying to keep good batteries near me
Recently found your channel and I love it dude. I'd like a bag like that but sometimes I have to climb up into roof voids or up onto rooftops to fix or service stuff. I can't have an open bag like that due to the risk of stuff falling out and bouncing off a fellow engineers head lol.
Thanks for the great comment! Funny enough, that’s why I put this bag together. So I could take my stuff up on the roof and work on HVAC units. Lol. It’s all good. Thanks again!!
Doctors & blue collar peeps have a lot incommon, many of them think they are smarter than they are. I treasure the humble & wise people. The Husky looks like a good value.
Wiha makes great Allen wrenches. I bought a set around 10 years ago. Still holding up great. Little more expensive. Worth it in my opinion. Also love the spring tip ball driver Allen’s they offer.
Just found you Dan, and Man-O-Man Dan 😂 am I blessed I did. You and I are Brothers in Repairs and a love for great tools. I too 100% agree we need “WAY MORE PEOPLE WITH DIRTY HANDS”. You are also correct about the Fluke T5 as being the greatest all around Quick and Easy Electrical Tester on the Planet 🌎. We also agree about not being Brand Specific. Get the tool that is well designed and reasonably priced and made in the USA if possible. Someone just said to me “ Is that all you can talk about is tools” at a lunch with 4-other men ! I had to laugh 😂. It’s because we like to share our experiences with the good and bad tools to help out our fellow brothers🙏 on the Planet 🌎 . As you can see in my Picture with my 2-Sons we, installed and tested that $75,000. Drycleaning Machine. We used a Ton of different tools, Ridgid 300 Pipe Threader, Milwaukee 3/4”Rotary Hammer, Pallet Jack, Custom made Machine moving double axel moving skates, 5,000lb rated 7’ Johnson Bar/Dutchman Bar it has a 7’Oak handle with 2-Wheels and a Metal bent Scoop on the end to move Large Machines. Just finished rebuilding an Air Operated Laundry Press with a 5” Dia. Air lifting Cylinder it was Cool to work on. I’ve also worked on 4-Movies In Special Effects in Hollywood Ca. You should see 18-Wheeler Trailers filled with Tools from floor to Ceiling 😱. It would blow your mind. They have Zero concern for spending money on tools and they rent back to the production Company any Machine Tools they use. These guys buy Welders etc. just to have the production companies pay for it. I’m married 42-years, 5-Children 3/Girls,2/Boys . We’re practicing Catholics and have a Really, Really Blessed Life. We’re on 50 acres of beautiful land in a Valley with 80’ Doug Fir trees surrounding us on top of a Hill 15-miles from Eugene, Oregon. Couldn’t have ANY OF IT if it weren’t for continuous Miracles . We have a Great sign in our house that says “ We’re Clean Enough To Be Healthy & Messy Enough To Be Happy “. It’s all about Moderation, St. Paul said it “ Let your Moderation be known to all Men. It’s Awesomeness Man. Dig ✌️😎 your Video Thanks for the time you spent, God Bless You for that. I’ll try to reach out to you so we can share stories. Peace ☮️ Out Dan, BobbyG
I love hearing what folks from other parts of the country call different tool. I’ve been an industrial/commercial electrician for 25 years and never heard chicken stick! Love it. We say tick tracer. Heard some places call channl locks dogs. 😂
Dan, you are absolutely killing it with your experience and info. Thanks for sharing your bag. Please check out the Hakko CHP-170 flush cutters online. $5 or less on Amazon. They are high quality consumable flush cutters, delicate enough for model making and perfect for many tasks from electrical to hygiene. I buy bulk packs and give them away, I keep a fresh and "used" pair in all benches and bags. You can clip all sorts of things like zip ties perfectly flush, not just "almost" with your diamond flush cutters. And they're incredibly cheap! You will be buying more for the house and bench.
Dude! Stumbled upon your channel, glad your doing good!! Your pretty much famous! Proud of you man keep it up!🎉. May start spamming your comment sections. So beware 😂
How do you rewire/repair charger cords? And do you have a preferred site or place to get spec sheets for those cords? I've tried taking apart charger cords and can never get the USB-c/apple plug end to come apart without damaging it
Great pliers tools and bag I have a husky bag edcak (every day carry all around kit) . I have Milwaukee, southwire, and Klein some gardener bender tools a little bit of everything that I need for around the house to fix things around the house
Hell yeah . A add on would be 4" harbor freight magnetic tray 4" one a key split ring and a carabiner or dog leash snap . Drill a 1/8 hole in side of the tray thread the split ring through hole and add the carabiner. You always have magnetic tray attached tool bag or in you on a ladder disassembling something above your head the magnetic tray will be clipped to your belt loop.
I am a mower mechanic. All speck plug testers, or rather ignition coil testers require seeing the tester. That is not always possible without getting a helper. Would any of your wire detectors, give a sound when a spark happens?
Nice !!!!!!! I like seeing new stuff that I didnt have back when I was working in the field but could have used. I like the homemade tools like the cord made up to check amperage. I have two like that that I made & still use at home now to check appliances when I need to.
To be honest I rarely have a use for them. It toke me years to build this bag up the way it is now and I really don’t have a daily use for linesman pliers.
@@dansproshop Yes I can see that. I'm guessing that you do a lot of industrial work. Where its termination blocks and stranded wire. Linesman pliers would be better for solid wire in residential work. Maybe you would use lineman pliers to push or pull a fish tape. I own rental property. I am my own maintenance man so I'm working on a new tool bag. I think I'm going to need three or four tool bags to get the job done. Thank you for sharing. I'm strongly thinking about moving over to a tool bag like yours.
As a fellow industrial tech my t6-1000 is amazing. But so is my 117. It’s hard to choose one sometimes. I use the 14 pocket electricians tool bag and it’s the best bag I’ve ever used.
