Steve My Honda dealer sold one of those to me years ago and recommended Tri Flow lubricant. It is the best and lasts a long time. It worked the best on my Suburban rear doors. Many people are using it for gun maintenance. You have the best videos. Thank you.

I've been a mechanic for 37 years and had no idea this tool existed, though if I thought about it, I would assume someone invented it already. This is gonna change things for me not just for lawnmower cables, but bicycles, too. Reading what I just typed embarrasses me, but live and learn. Thanks, Steve.

Love it. What cable lube do you recommend Steve? Thank you.
@jothain
@jothain Год назад
Love these. But it's worth mentioning that there are some lubricants that actually swell the plastic liner and hence damage cable. It's quite rare and can't recall the product, but I ruined one cable in short time because of that. Now I tend to use stuff like PTFE lubricants that don't affect plastics. So all-in-all. Remember that some oils can degrade some plastics fast.
@stevemorris3710
@stevemorris3710 Год назад
WD40 maybe, that destroys plastics, and is terrible as a lubricant anyhow.

I saw this luber on Mustie 1 years ago and I just had to have one. Works super well with cable lube from PB Blaster although any lube is better than no lube. Mower cables left out in the weather often have rain water go down the inside of the cable cover and silently causes a metric ton of corrosion / rust. Joe

Great tool. I always use würth hss-2000 for lubricating my cabels. It gets greasy when the solvent is gone and is really good at repelling water.

Nice! I bought mine in 1978 while working at a motorcycle shop. Mine still works great! I thought there was about seven of these ever made.

Steve I'm a loyal subscriber. I've been using this luber on motorcycle cables since 1975,I still have it in 1 of many tool boxes. This cable luber has served me well for over 48 yrs. Keep the vids coming to Pittsburgh Pa. I really enjoy them and learn different things from them. God bless 🙏 you and yours
