i took that trip to Seattle on Feb 2, 2002. It was more beautiful going into Seattle. Met some fascinating people. Everyone should take at sometime in their life.

Thank you for showing the station and boarding process. So many leave that part out!

You can clean the windows with paper towel and water. I had to on the CA Zephyr inside and outside stayed in room 11.

great video and loved the personal comments...need to ask... I don't walk well as it is so I won't be able to get drunk on the train darn it but was wondering if they have red cap service or any way to get someone down that long walkway to the trains if we have problems walking... I'm an old lady with a young heart and love to travel. But have problems walking distance sometimes

From Haddonfield, Illinois to Salt Lake City, Utah....Gee! That's a hike.

If you travel by Amtrak again, I HIGHLY recommend taking the California Zephyr from Chicago to Emeryville, CA (San Francisco/Oakland area). On the way back you could take Southwest Chief back to Chicago.

I took this same trip from Chicago out to Portland Oregon. The best scenery was a long the Columbian Gorge

Interesting that the train exits the station through the north end as apposed to the south end for other lines.

North Dakota and eastern Montana are flat - this is the Great Plains. When you get to western Montana you reach the Rocky Mountains, then the Cascades and then the Pacific Ocean and lots of spectacular scenery. (I like all of it)

My experience, my advice about riding Amtrrak: Don't be a hermit. Eat all your meals in the cafe or club car and the dining car. Spend lots of time in the observation cars. You're going to meet lots and lots of interesting people from everywhere. Talk to them - why are they taking that particular train, where did they come from, where are they going, what do they know about the land you're going through. Have they taken other train journey's. Listen, really listen to what they have to say! You interested in the history and politics? Do some research about the railroads and the unions over the last 150 years. Unreal. Know this - you're probably going to be late. Sad but true. Talk to the crew - they can tell you some fascinating stories. The one thing I can say is that I've never been bored

Nobody wants to hear you comments regarding perceived social and political injustices. Also you need to narrate your videos. They are simply not interesting without narration.

Some time stamps or chapters would be helpful. Nobody is going to watch a 2 hour video all the way through.

You should have said LGBTQI+ in lieu of trans rights in your commentary. A decent video, but it's too long by some 30-minutes. Edit out the night scenes, and tighten the commentary. Greetings from Australia, where the meals on our trains are not only edible, but also diverse in choice.

I love the footage. I was surprised to see trans rights go across the screen. Did they block you from using a men's restroom? Men don't belong in bathrooms with little girls and women. A trans inferred male will never experience what a little girl goes through developing to womanhood. Sewing some plastic bags on your chest and wearing a dress does not make a man a woman. We need our privacy, too. All bathrooms can't be just for men and males. Black lives? Need to start mattering to Black lives. Yes, I've gone through my share of discrimination as a copper colored lady. Lenape. As for abortion, let everyone adopt one child this weekend. Let every man who doesn't want to support children get a vasectomy. Problem solved!
