My only other thought is to take these bags that I have and explore which one appeals to you most. Another viewer, Watch It, mentioned the Lilorush bags, which look like terrific bags, but are sold in India, not in the US. Something to think about. To be honest, there's too many options out there, which for me, was always confusing. I'm happy with the one's I have. Cheers and thank you! :)

I love an inexpensive solution! However, because I travel, I don't want my expensive gear to get banged up or damaged, especially electronics. Locally, though, gimme a cheap bag and I'm good to go! lol!

It's almost embarrassing to recall the cheapo options I used in my youth - including one of my mom's old 1970's purses that, to be fair, was probably the best (and funkiest) travel art bags I ever owned, but which got stolen with all my stuff in it. lol! I was looking at an $800 messenger bag recently, thinking, the only reason it's this much isn't because it's leather or built well, it's because of the designer name tagged on it! I was actually at the Wilson's Leather Outlet store last weekend and their clearance table had some amazing bags that were marked down from $100+ to about $40+... I’m always tempted by the fancy artist bags....but most seem overpriced to me, and the more complicated and the more pockets there are, the less likely I am to use it. If I have to spend a half hour packing the thing, I can’t be bothered. Working on the go better be simple, or I’ll never do it. For my little day trips, the less stuff I take with me, the better off I am.
Oh, how I miss those little day trips! lol! But, yes, I agree about the temptation of those fancier bags! The Etchr bag is like that... too many ways to configure that it can be too much! It's a nice bag, but I really don't use it all that much! A shame, too!
Perfect, I am having my coffee too. I have a little LL Bean travel bag, loved it until the larger size IPad Pro, its too big for it. It’s sad because the litttle bag looks brand new. I keep looking at the larger bags but the weight for me would be a problem. So for me most of the time I just carry a small open tote for around town. Thanks for the video, there’s a lot to think about.
Thank you, Essie Tangle. I understand about the upgrade dilemma. It's happened to me far too many times with many different products. Phone cases, art bags, shaving kits, gym bags... they all seem great when we get them, until we see the next version come out. ugh. And yes, weight is always the biggest concern for me. That and storage capacity. I want to load my bag full, but not be cussing through the airport, switching from shoulder to shoulder.
Honestly, I have my inks, nibs and pencils in a tupper because it keeps everything protected. However, I've been thinking of getting myself a new bag to al least have some order, especially with the pencil holders but there is a chance I'll get myself another toiletry bag for my art supplies (I already have one that is amazing for random emergency stuff).
I get overwhelmed sometimes having too many, because I often don't know which one to use. My most favorite came after this video was made, but it's a small, satchel like bag by Kenneth Cole that was on sale for $40 (from $90), so I couldn't resist! lol!

Yes, but unfortunately, my tripod was very wobbly to start with. I keep planning to get a new one, specifically for the Etchr satchel, but honestly... I keep forgetting!
