The Wii is one of the best selling consoles of all time and many of its games have reach the top 50 best selling games. Hey! Thanks for watching. Instead of doing a follow up video, Mari ended up telling me about all of the things that we missed! -Cottage on Private Island: Some people thought that you can go in the cottage, but obviously that's not true. -Just Dance 2020: This is technically the last Triple AAA game released for the Wii, since Retro City Rampage and Shakedown Hawaii are made by Indie developers. -Virtual Console Differences: There's A LOT more differences that the Stickbug didn't mention in the video. I'm not going to mention all, but some examples are games with replaced character due to copyright reasons (like Spider-Man in a Neo Geo game i think), NES games having save slots, etc. -Uh Virtual Console is supposed to be in Tier 1. You may confused it with E3 2006 Virtual Console, which was completely different visually. -Fake Safety Warnings?: In the website Flickr, there's a thread called "Wii Safety: The Missing Pages" made by the user The Iconfactory. These are supposedly unused diagrams for the japanese Wii Safety Manual (including the infamous kid swallowing a Wii image). Needless to say that these image are fake, but they are really well done and replicate almost perfectly the art of the original safety diagrams. Here's the link of the Flickr page: www.flickr.com/photos/iconfactory/albums/72157594406897342/ -The Blue Light Mystery: Something you did not mentioned about this entry is that the pattern of the blue light is actually timed to the bird call of a Japanese bush warbler. -GC Next: Yes, GC Next means GameCube Next :). This was another internal name for the system just like Revolution and NNGC. -Wii Sports Resort in Elemental: Elemental is a Discord bot which has various activities for users. One of these activities is Wii Sports Resort. Honestly, I have not seen this bot, but it seems interesting. The Wii Sports Resort remaster looks neat tho. -DKC Virtual Console: Another thing you didn't mentioned is that for some strange reason, the DKC trilogy was brought back in 2015 to the Wii virtual console. These are literally the only titles who are brought back. -Sadness: um... wow... i... that perspective is... pretty depressing... i just wanted to put that sadness was a cancelled wii game you don't have to put me sad :(. -V-09: A completely different Wii Remote. here are some mistakes on my end so before you comment make sure you read this! I will not be responding to any more people talking about mistakes that I have already cleared up. Mario Party 9 on the Wii u. It even said kn my script for the Wii! My bad, I know it’s for the Wii I’ve ever payed that Mario party more than any other. Just Dance 2020. No it wasn’t released on the Wii for the 10th anniversary. What they did for the 10th anniversary. Was releasing Just Dance 2020. This makes it sick a weird choice why they didn’t release it in the Wii u like they did for the past 5 or so years. My Mic. Yes for half of my recordings in layer 1 I was sick. I really had to get them done and in hindsight I should’ve waited. But this was early in the project and I wanted to get it done. Thank you all for nearly 20k views. And the next time someone comments referring to anything in this list or up above I will refer them back to here. I you still think that I’m wrong send a source

"Sadness" was actually referring to a cancelled psychological horror game for the Wii that went through development hell. I highly, Highly recommend it be looked into.

i remember at one point, you could buy Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival at Game Stop new in-box, with the pack-in Digby and alternate Isabelle amiibos, for less than a single amiibo. i bought it for a friend (knowing the game was lackluster, having previously bought it at $20 for the pack-in amiibos) and we had a good laugh when we found out the game disc wasn't actually in the box. "oh well, i wasn't gonna play it anyway. thank you for the amiibos!"

At the 1:15:15 mark, the topic is about a game the was originally supposed to be developed for the Wii called Sadness. It was meant to be a horror game that used motion controls and depending on your actions can give you one of multiple endings. Due to the games constant production issues it was soon canceled, there was one possible attempt to revive the project for the WiiU, but obviously nothing came of it. I don’t know if this skit you had was because you didn’t know about the game and decided to improvise, or what?

51:15 Fun fact: the indie fighting game Rivals of Aether has a feature where on the character select screen before an online battle, players can chat with each other using a set of pre-written messages. One of those messages is a reference to this, being “I’m using gyro controls!” I’m absolutely certain this is a reference due to the fact that the game does not have any gyro controls for anything in any capacity.

1:15:15 This entry is referring to the cancelled Wii launch title Sadness, a horror game that would have used the motion controls to interact with the surrounding environs. There are videos that go into different details, but ultimately, the game was canceled due to the team not being able to decide what it should be. It was considered to be remade for the Wii U, but the team failed to get the rights back. Only one video of game is known to exist, which kinda contradicts the whole “they only made a minecart” thing by BooseGoose. Again, there are videos that go into this more but they all seem to talk about something about it each time. The game’s OST has been uploaded to RU-vid by the composer, and the team went on to make better games. Not the publisher though...

I had mario tennis on the Wii, and I can’t tell you how much sense it makes to use the remote as a racket. This game was incredible as a child and I loved to play tournaments with my mom. Cool memories

You forgot one more to add to the iceberg: Rayman Raving Rabbids + Rabbids origins: The Original Prototype of RRR was going to be a platformer when it was developed for the 6th Gen consoles, but when Ubisoft Montpellier received Wii dev kits from Nintendo, they’ve changed the original RRR to a party game because of it’s motion controls. Because of this, the Rabbids were born and sabotaged Rayman’s spotlight in-favor of mini games before splitting to it’s own franchise starting with Rabbids Go Home.

Mario Party 9 was an OG Wii game, not the Wii U. (It's playable on Wii U via Backwards Compatibility, but it was created for the original Wii)

First of if Microsoft or Sony accepted the motion controll idea we wouldn't have just magically Nintendo develop theyr franchises and games for competitors. The would have probably kept on theyr hendheld consoles route.....like they are doing right now with the Switch and they did with the 3DS. So no Kirby or Mario on the Playstation or X-Box. So you don't need to keep awake at night about that. But what would be intresting to think about is what kind of new games would have been created? And no the WiiU wouldn't have existed without the Wii but maby a console similar to it. And this is the part where I realise that this was all irony and I look like a stoooooopid idiot for writing this.
