That's soo nicely done! I should change oil before winter storage, glad u mentioned it. Have never changed oil in anything Honda, jus added.. if it ever got low.😅
I just picked up a 1991 xr250 with an 88 xr200 engine that I'm building / rebuilding. Great to know about the 230 engine. And what front fender is that ?

Nice build. Bike looks good. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the mods you made are very common and well documented so it isn't as "one of a kind" as you seem to think. I'd venture to say that the Honda XR200 is probably the most common bike build out there in the dirt world right now. If you want to see some REALLY bad ass builds, check out Kevin Vaughn XR200. Its crazy what can be done. One other thing....and you may not have any rocks where you live but......reverse those snail adjusters so the little tab you like isn't hanging down. One rock and the adjuster will be bent in and never really be right again. Just swap sides and it will be the same as the parts bike you showed. Oh....and your chain is waaaaaay too tight. Something is going to break when you compress the rear suspension.
Rich, I will definitely check out his videos. The 200 is a very common bike I won’t dispute that but I do believe mine to be one of the special ones built. Where I ride we don’t have a ton of rocks but i appreciate the insight. When you sit on the bike the chain loosens quite a bit due to the different swing arm.
@@SubscibeBikeGiveaway So many advanced builds specifically on the XR200 right now. The things being done pretty great. Have to agree with Richard though, the XR250R swaps are one of the most common swaps of them.

@@shanefoss1731 the progressive springs are about an inch shorter than the stock so pr2 make up some shims that sit at the top of the fork to take up the empty space.
@@SubscibeBikeGiveaway Ahhhh, the shims/spacers are to achieve proper preload. So easy to mix up shims and spacers when talking forks. I should have known as they are damper rod forks without a shim stack. Appreciate the clarification.
