One of the most unique purpose-built vehicles in the world, the Ultra4 car came to be with humble beginnings, and has evolved into a formidable off road machine in a few short years. The cars drive the research and development in the off road industry, providing the ultimate test bed for product design, and survivability. Tested, and proven, at the King of the Hammers race in California, what some consider to be the hardest single day off road race on the planet.

Great work Will! Really captures the spirit and what goes into racing Ultra4. there is nothing like King of the Hammers. 100k plus spectators and 700 plus race teams.....truely amazing.

Stumbled on these videos since I recently got the bug to get back into off-roading after being into road course stuff for the past 6 years. Built a Jeep on tons and 40s back when KOH had just taken off circa 2009... Time to start building a 4400 car.

Perfection once again!! Great great stuff! Apart from the video one thing bugs me, they build expensive cars with the best stuff there is, but put on a slow and incapable winch, no free-spool, no large drums, no speed. so much to win at that area.

supernice edit, great sport, but the comparison with Dakar was pretty unnecessary.. Both are great races but come on, the Dakar is a different beast, way longer and way more dangerous.. But that's not the point, just two fascinating races/sports that both do not even need to be compared..

Rock bouncer... only lighter and faster and with independent suspension. Dunno bout Ultra4 rear steering. And can't take the beating rock bouncers can. Think I'ma go with Ultra4 tho...
