I'm late to the party, but for anyone who skips this monitor because of the gaming experience he had, I can say I don't have the same issue and never had. I never have to play with cropped or stretch res unless I choose to. It's great for casual gaming, even for competitive shooters. Highly recommended screen for the budget.
looking to mount this above my LG 34gn850-b but I'm concerned about the weight of two ultrawide's on one mount. What mount did you use to stack those monitors?
I have new external monitor LG 29WK600-W connected to my notebook HP 14-ck0023TU. Why don't Manjaro and Endeavor wake up after screen lock ? Both screens are black , no login screen - but keyboard and mouse are still active. Can you please help try on Manjaro and Endeavor OS ?
Excellent review mate ,Is that a 100cm Linnmon table because I want to budget space to place the monitor speaker and maybe a pc if it still can fit in..
I was a little disappointed that you never talked about whether or not this monitor can be VESA-mounted on a desk-attached monitor swing arm and what that was like.
Fedora 34 Workstation detected as LG Electronics 34" for secondary display and then notebook screen and LG 29WK600 blackout. Can you please test with other distros ?
Bad review to be honest, talks about bad experience on a game with no ultra-wide support due to the competitive nature, make no use of IPS colors and has the thing setup on the roof far away from optimal distance/position...This monitor is about price and who ever have them as main usually say is very good and IPS glow and limited refresh been the only bad thing they experience.
Hi. Very good review of the monitor. Thank you so much. I'm planning to purchase the same monitor for my work from home purpose. I've a query about the monitor. Could you kindly assist. Kindly let me know the actual screen size of the monitor length x breadth (without bezels)
I have same monitor. Colours are great but when I am turning on HDR it become blueish. :/ not matter if that is on PC or PS4 or XB series X. What is the problem?
So this screen isn’t good for gaming? I’m an animator and do video editing and animations but also gaming as well I thought having an ultra wide screen would be great to have that extra wide space.
@@BrandonYen What is that nonsense? Most if not all modern titles support ultrawide, meaning they don't just stretch the image but you actually get to see the extra 30%. Why are you spreading disinformation? A lot of gamers explicitly buy an ultrawide due to the wider field of view, it's very popular in simulation racing, but anything else too.
@@BrandonYen You must be the first person i encounter online that says gaming on ultrawide sucks. You don't lose anything on a 21:9 monitor because the line of thought behind it is "take a resolution and make it wider", in this case a 29" UW is a wide 24" monitor, a 34" UW is a wide 27" monitor, etc. A 29" UW is not "a 27" monitor that is somewhat wider but much shorter" lmao. Nearly everyone who tries it says that the immersion on an ultrawide is much better than on a 16:9 and that they don't see themselves going back. What a bunch of bollocks...
No one who plays games professionally is going to use an ultra wide monitor. In games such as Overwatch, you’ll simply experience cropping, and in other games your mouse sensitivity will be slightly adjusted since you have a wider FOV.
Bro thank you for this wonderful video. I'm about to buy lg 29inch 29wl500b or dell 27inch se2723ds monitor. Which ine do you prefer for 3d designing, video editing and graphic design..Your help would be much valuable to me. Thanks
