All I'm gonna say is that if the pandemic did not happen, the original T1 team of Obly, KaronPe, and Parkha would've won a LAN and could've changed the trajectory of this esports. They were one of the most dominant teams in the world at that time with a top org like T1 not only supporting them but also organizing multiple tournaments and leagues at that time. With T1 leaving Apex and EA closing down the Korean (Seoul) servers, it was pretty much the end of korean Apex esports. The only ones that were left were the same players that's been playing since the beginning. So it's still crazy that despite everything, a South Korean team, triple mouse & keyboard still won a LAN before anyone else not named TSM or DZ.
Dang EA shut down the Korean servers? Sad to hear cause Koreans are all about eSports. Was kind of weird seeing so little Koreans in APAC N pro league, explains it
@@soyboi8440 EA didn't care about the korean region. Apex was really popular on release there, players also lost interest because the game is garbage aim assist clownfiesta with 0 competitive integrity. Korea hates shit like that, this guys are gods, they never give up.
As a former apex enthusiast and apex comp fan, I haven't been keeping up with the scene but your videos are always top tier quality. Enjoyed seeing my korean boys finally win one!
My favorite part about games with abilities is the off-meta picks and so far, apac is the most versatile and imaginative region to upset the pro scene in both valorant and apex legends, and that says something. When everyone is switching to controller in apex, and map-comps in valorant are all but set in stone, apac regions tend to experiment and throw other teams off guard. Not to mention the overall mechanical skill gap in asian regions is far, far above that of others, you end up with mechanically insane players with insane teamcomps, leading to fun and exciting games by virtue of the different comp they play. Suffice to say, Reject Winnity deserved this win. Almost makes me miss playing apex :^)
Thank you for the video as always JHawk! That 'barrier' commentary in game 7 is an interesting insight, visualizing the barrier line makes the situation for every teams involved more clear
Awesome video. I only wish you included Sangjoon's voice com at the end when they won when he yells, "Let's go, sheebal!" cuz it was guttural and you could feel the emotion in that yell. It went hard. Gives me goosebumps every time.

Korean pros deserve more respect coz they play the whole game with 100% of their skills(not 60%). They are mechanically insanely good(most of them have semi pro career in Overwatch in Korea), but still trying to be more creative to deal with roller AA meta.

people called TSM and DZ wins flukes too. People love to give the lazy argument that its a fluke or luck because of match point... But winning a climatizer zone from Staging with 7 teams on match point and you are one of the furthest of the 7... aint no fluke there

Amazing episode as always. Even if it's not ALGS content, would love to someday see some videos about the Asian apex scene, in particular vsaikyo tournament, TSM shibuyahal's scrimms or the CR cup. They have some really fun teams and good games on there with some incredibly plays

Amazing video. Does show however how lacking the casting/broadcasting is for ALGS there’s so many key moments that are missed in the teams chat and nowhere near enough insight into tactics and zone pulls.
So much respect for this team! Its a great story for sure, proving that APAC north can hang at the highest level too, and triple MnK is refreshing to see. I still think that C9 and Serenity HARD THREW. In any other Match point finals, the team that is telegraphing who they are (GIANT GLOWING WATTSON FENCES) would be inted HARD.
THEY ARE THE BEST. Wattson comp IS THE BEST. Tied with 3 which is the most LANs won as a character in Apex history. Obly, Sangjoon, and Karonpe deserved this Win.
