As the 10th overall pick of the 2008 draft, it seemed as if Cody Hodgson was destined to have a long and successful career in the NHL, but thanks to a number of injuries and a rare neurological disorder, the Canadian forward was forced to hang up his skates and retire from the sport only 8 years after his selection!
Given the number of injuries he faced and the fact that he had completely fallen off the hockey map by his late-20s, I figured it would be worth delving deeper into his rollercoaster of a career and seeing how it all went down.
