But I do understand that it's a ton of work, and if it isn't something that feels exciting for you, you would at least want something like money in return. As a full-time musician, I too resonate with the struggle of self promotion and trying to hustle to keep up with social media trends in hope of “trying to make it.” So instead I focus on doing what I love knowing that if it makes me happy, then others will recognize that too. 💞
Buy the bundle! Their Sketch Up tutorials are worth it. I learned so much from it and have designed dozens of tinies with ease thanks to Jake’s instructions! Best out there in my opinion! We’re moving into our tiny later this year!
Just wanted to send some love, my partner and I were diy ers around the time you two where building …we were pretty on pace with a lot of your early videos, we were in similar stages. We were there from the start …I’ve recently been approached about building tow’s with a friend and thought about you two right away and wanted to check in …I hadn’t been keeping up. Everything you said in this video is completely understandable and relatable. It was exhausting even for me to have tiny living be all consuming …it was never meant to be every aspect of our lives, just a tool to help our lives. I couldn’t imagine what it was like for you with running the channel /website brand etc …as well building. Your bundle seems like a smart idea for me (or anyone getting into it ) to freshen up on… the price is unreal for the amount of knowledge you two used to share. Hope all is well and that life levels out for you …what is important should take priority. ❤❤❤

I remember watching y'all from the very beginning! I was 15 -16 years old I was working and wanted to make my own tiny home! 🥰 I ALWAYS looked forward to a new video! Fast Forward to today! I was on RU-vid and y'all popped up and I was so shocked how much life has gone by! I'm 22 years old now! I have 4 beauiful children now so a tiny home isn't a option anymore lol but maybe I can make them one so they can live with me forever! 🥰 Seeing this pop up made me feel so happy and brought me back to a good time in life I NEVER comment on youtube 😂 but I needed to comment on this!
Thank you! I started my tiny house on July 4th, 2017. We moved in Thanksgiving weekend of the same year. Your videos were our inspiration . I really enjoyed your approach to problem solving. You gave us simple, clear explanations on what and why you were doing in your build. The two of you showed us (wife and I) such positivity and determination. Boy, can we ever relate now. It is hard to bust your butt to make videos and work plus not really making anything from the videos. I fully understand now. I feel like throwing in the towel a lot of times. Life can be really difficult and it’s also nice. I’m so sorry for your loss of a family member. I hope y’all figure it all out. Thanks so much for all the content on your tiny house build. It gave me a lot of help inspiration and ideas in building mine. The social media business model is really starting to break down as the market's become soooo saturated and the platforms continue to push short form content.
totally agree with you- we live in a Tiny House & make RU-vid videos...but the amount of effort we put in is not worth the monetary compensation from it. Mostly just a hobby when we have the time - not sure how people make a full time living from this. But thanks for the video! always happy to hear from other tiny house dwellers 😁
Hey I'm feel'n ya! The last two years for us has been blah and it is really REALLY hard to start again! We have a Festival to run and we will... it's just feels like all that momentum we had was ripped away and is harder than the first time to get the wheels back in motion. I am glad to see that you guys are back! Is your Tiny Certified? I have never heard of a Tiny not being able to achieve a policy if its been Certified. Also there is a post-construction option with NOAH. Thanks for the video!

I'd change to a different CAD program if I thought others were less complicated but I fear not and I have so much time into SU. It seems Trimble is only into making $$$. The 2 years+ of COVID were/are a blurr and now the only affordable 400SF houses are from foreign countries. I've waited too long to be able to build my own place. Drop by once in awhile. You have started to build your TinyNest around the time when we started building ours and I really enjoyed everything you did… I fully understand you, but it is a shame, your attitude is unique and pure, instead of couples that “lost the way” like Handyman and Pure Living (for instance). Hey, I only just found you, don't feel guilty about selling bundles, totally monetize all of your time and effort, nothing wrong with that! People who want it can buy it and that's it. Some people only sell courses and don't offer any free content. You could totally turn your content into many courses, maybe with some bonus material if you want to keep the stuff that's currently public for free. People usually appreciate what they pay for a lot more. You will never get your time back. All the power!
If you're gonna make youtube work you gotta learn what works. How you present it is often even more important than what you are presenting. There is an abundance of knowledge out there. Just gotta integrate enough of it.
I don’t think it is a hustle. Not at all. You 2, in the most basic form, are meeting peoples need of tiny house information. But you can’t meet others needs without meeting yours.
