Its rare seeing Elle play someone in a manic state. I hope this opens the door for her to get more roles in psychological thrillers. Or better yet, roles centered around someone with mental health struggles like Angelina Jolie in Girl, Interrupted (which won her an Oscar).
i didn't notice it earlier but she started humming the music that Peter has hummed to her while dancing in this scene. also all her maniac behaviour after his death breaks me, it's so sad to watch. and i hated the fact that no one understood her grief, no one stood by her, they were just selfish.
This is going to sound odd but her use of jaw tension here is very well done. She acts a lot using her jaw as a big feature and it contributes greatly to her acting. She’s very very talented
I think Elle showed sooo much range of her amazing acting ability in this whole season than 1&2 did. Though those two were really great performances, this one just was so much more.
I think she spent the extra downtime for season 3 getting even more coaching and private study, because the increased precision of her physical acting made the script jump out of the page and through the screen. S1 and 2 were great, but without 3 we wouldn't know what was possible or what even better acting looked like!
Fantastic performance from Elle, but also from Nicholas and the rest of the cast. Such a witty and multi-layered series that is a rarity these days. One of the very few productions that are able to make me laugh and cry and genuinely love the characters.
I wonder if she uses special drops to keep her pupils so dilated. They both have clear eyes yet his pupils are normal for that lightning, her’s like it's super dark.
