This makes me wanna play an Elvish Barberian path of the ansestors

Eberron is such a compelling world. I'm really enjoying tinkering with the concepts to fit my homebrew setting.

You know what would be cool? Playing a good elf on Eberron with an "evil" ancestor--go by tradition and try to emulate their crimes, or stick to morals? It would make for some interesting role play...

Ooh, you could do something interesting with the Dreaming Dark interfering with Valenar Elves by rewriting their ancestors history through dreams, influencing them to do things that further the Quori's goals.

What a perfect twist on things! My favorite by far are half elves.

So humans shot from the hip, while Elfs take the time to ADS. Gotcha.

If the elf takes 120 years to do what a human does in 30...getting to be a 1st level Wizard...why do they then progress at the same rate going forward? 🤔

Now I want to play a BBS Valinor elf who has to deal with the fact that his only notable ancestors were horrible traitors and killers, and he actually wants to forsake his even culture and find a way to be different from his ancestors.

That's incredibly interesting and all, but I'm kinda sad that our beloved goth elves, the drow, weren't mentioned here. Their Eberron version is such a simple yet cool and effective twist to the original Drow lore from the Forgotten realms. Especially the Umbragen Drow.

I think I wanted to ask but is there any human-Drow liaison, like maybe a human married a Drow for either "diplomacy" (like trade deal or property) or a Drow who was essentially an outcast to mingle with humans? Consider that Drows are isolationist--except for Sulatar who traded with humans--despite not being malicious. Had an idea of a half-Drow (half Elf mechanics) who was a progeny of a human explorer and Drow tribal woman.

Good stuff, but what about regular khorvaire elves? It would be cool to hear a little about them. Also, eberron miniatures. Nolzur's, and a wrath of ashardalon type box set! 🍺💨

Elves could have been serving as sentries, scouts, guards or patrols for years before they reach 100 yrs old.

I have a question that's really up for anyone who can answer, with those being more lore savvy than myself. However, looking through the races and classes that Eberron certainly inspires to play around with, my question is relating to the Dragonmark; or more specifically the aberrant Dragonmark. Is it possible for any race to gain this dangerous, unknowing feat? Is it bound like the more predictable dragonmarks are to the established races? I.e., Humans, Half-Elves, Dwarves, Elves, Halflings and Gnomes? I'm curious as to rather or not a more exotic race could develop a Aberrant Dragonmark.
