The Unknown In Game Voice Lines 

The “excuse me, i need some help” was said so clearly in contrast to everything else

What I love about this killer’s VC is that they are probably used to lure his victims in order to kill them

I would love to see skins in the game that are just mangled up versions of survivors. Like a disfigured Jake saying "Hey...you...this yours?"

One of his lines is “would you like some candy” which means he probably killed kids as well

So most of the in-game voicelines are just how The Unknown lures its victims. Pretending to ask for help

Fun fact: If I recall, the “can you help lift this” was a line used by a real serial killer.

I like the last one where the Unknown causally walks up to Sable asking for help but Sable is just ignoring him and the Unknown is trying to get her attention

I'm guessing it's some sort of amalgamation of all the different characters played in all the movies that were shown at this theater somehow made by Mikaela

Man, they really make you focus on the hallucination when you try to dispel it. Absolutely perfect for those scenarios where the killer player teleports to that one randomly, and scares the living $#!+ out of whoever was trying to dispel it.

So if I had to guess, I’d imagine these voice lines are ones he’s copied from last victims or people who he has came in contact with before. He then uses (or tries) these lines of dialogue to try to lure others in. Also there is no proof that this is a cannon connection BUT one of his many voice lines is “can you help me find my dog?” In one of the teaser pictures for this chapter there is a text message between a mom and daughter. In said text message the daughter states that she’s worried something might be outside the house, and that she thinks the neighbors dog may have been killed by said “animal” soooo it sounds to me that the voice line “can you help me find my dog” may have been a line the daughter and mother’s neighbor said to or around the unknown EDIT: it may have been a text between a couple, not a mother and daughter. Whoops

Judging by whats being said...this thing lures its victims which is even more horrifying "Have you seen my dog?" A woman who lost her dog most likely passed by Unknown looking for it thinking she'd ask for help. The unknown ate her "Hey you this yours?" Unknown dropped something intentionally and a nice person tried to return it, not knowing what would come next "Psst over here" the unknown's real voice. Most likely lured a child with something (candy or toys) and ate them "Sorry sorry" a passerby bumped into unknown by accident and apologized, only to get eaten "Can you help lift this?" Unknown staged a scenario where it needed help lifting something. A kind passerby tried to do a good deed. The unknown did its thing "Sorry, is this yours?" Again it dropped an item hoping someone would see and return it. You know what came next "Excuse me i need help" a passerby was probably lost and asked for directions. Unknown was unfortunately who they asked

This is giving Fiddlesticks vibes. Cant speak for itself, it can only mimic.

I believe it is more of an amalgamation of voices from past victims, rather than his last victim. I also believe that the thing is taking words and putting them together to create sentences (in some way), since there are cases, many of which show signs that words seem to be disconnected from the real meaning, being speeches with a different pronunciation or intonation.

I love how it's Help me lines could also be interpreted as there being something left of someone inside it, like calling out for genuine help which is also creepy.

I feel like, the creature itself, whatever it is, knows how to use basic phrases to help lure in victims, all while at the same time trying to understand how to use a language. It’s super creepy.

The fact that the Unknown’s VA is demanding reparations because their voice was put on a horrific monster *in a game about horrific monsters* is genuinely fucking hilarious.

This killer gave me Fiddlesticks vibe. God, the scarecrow would make a good skin for the Unknown.

I like that the unknown mimic the voices most likely from past prey, that it had killed, plus the fact it try to look like a human by wearing the skin of a most likely past prey add the fear to it, everything about it warp and miss match, from the way it walks to the way it uses it weapon. Hell it mean way of killing you is not even with the Axe but with tendrils that spew out of the chest.

The fact that its voices becomes clear when infected is one of the coolest details ever made by bhvr

Hopefully this becomes a habit of giving Killers actual voice lines. Makes the game feel more unique and actually scary. I'd love to see what the doctor or pig would say

This one is definitely inspired by the intruders in the Mandela catalogue

I think The Unknown is mimicking sentences that it heard it's victims say before they killed them, and is now also trying to mimic their appearance too. I.E. smiling to try and appear as being friendly to other people (and failing). It would also explain why it sounds like several people at time. "Have you seen my dog?" The Unknown most likely killed the victims dog. "I need some help." Most likely things the victim said repeatedly before dying. Also explains why there's so many variations of it, and is usually the most clear sentence. "You're gonna wanna see this." A usual remark made to try and get someone to come over.

So, not only does it lure its victims in with that, I think that the way it gets those lines and understands them is from the movies, where it can see what happens after somebody asks for helps, it lures the person in. Also, maybe it got those lines off of the victims he’s killed, including (what I presume is Dwight) yelling for help before killing him and wearing his skin, it may even of stalked Dwight and saw him ask for help and speak politely, which helped it mimic.
