I’m excited finally my hold is up at the library! I get to read this soon and then watch your video! Yay! (Literally only reason the book is pushed up on tbr is cuz of your video lol) Also haven’t seen any videos from you. I remember your last video you said you had some med stuff come up. I hope you’re doing better. (Also no rush on the content, your number one priority is you!!!)

Okay, I'm hoping I can get my thoughts together properly. For starters, I'll say I went through most of what you went through. I hadn't heard of this book until you had it as the book club pick. The normal cover wasn't one that drew me in and I probably wouldn't have ever picked it up, but I'm so glad I read this for the book club! I also gave it a 5 star and read it in 2 days. So good! Okay, so I'm also a time travel hater, I just feel like it never works. You're either changing everything or it was always going to happen the way it happens and I hate it, so I do love that the point of this one wasn't to travel through time for a purpose, if that makes sense. I feel like that made a difference. I'm also glad I didn't know it was going to involve time travel cause that may have affected if I read it. I hate time travel movies especially. Can't say I've read many books. Also, I wish I had that Owlcrate edition. I agree, the dust jacket doesn't match, though I can't pinpoint why. I think it's too ethereal for the book. Idk, but I love the rest of it. Okay, so as far as the contents are concerned, ugh, so good! I couldn't put it down. I have a 4 month old so it's normally been taking me awhile to finish books, but I got through this fast. So I didn't hate Mason like you, lol, but I agree that I'm glad they didn't explore that more. I think that would have ruined it. I also don't even really get why she had relationship memories with him. What would have changed her mind in that year she stayed? I honestly would have been fine if that wasn't in at all, but the little bit it was didn't bother me either. I do feel bad that she just disappeared on him, but, like you, I spent some of the book wondering if "disappeared June" went back to live life with Mason instead and that made me so sad! I'm so glad that's not what happened. I would not have been able to like June after that. I also totally thought for awhile that Susannah holding June killed Nathaniel! So you're not alone! Haha, I kind of wish it was, but also, where would she have gone after that? I don't know. But honestly, I would've thought more highly of her than her going back to Nathaniel when he's the worst. The literal worst! I'm glad Caleb let June go after finding out the dad killed her. I was so worried the story was going to end with us finding out June was just rotting in jail for the rest of her life to show her family she loved them. Sweet, but so depressing. Loved that she didn't go through the door for the rest of her life. Love the Birdie reveal - I had my suspicions, but only pages before it was revealed, or something short like that. Glad she was able to end the loop in her family. I was also frustrated that no matter their choices, it drove them crazy in the end. How sad. While it wouldn't have fit in with the book, I do have to say I'm so curious what Esther and Margaret did with their other timeline lives. They kind of make it seem like that's the only life they lived was the one we see, but clearly they both went other places at some point. When did that happen and what times did they go to?! And do we not know because they travel back the third time really close to when they left so they're not gone long? Anyways, I'm probably missing a whole bunch, but I super loved it! So so good! Already recommended it to my sisters and I hope they read it so I can talk to them about it.

For some reason none of the comments on this video showed up until now so I'm sorry for the late response! First of all I'm so happy you loved it!!! My goal is to have people read some things they may never read and hopefully find new favorites so I'm literally so happy to read that you loved it. I feel like all of the stuff with Mason was totally unnecessary which is why I think I was so suspicious of him 😆 I'm so glad the author chose the EXACT plot she did because this easily could have gone a route with Mason that I absolutely hated. I love your questions and breakdown and it makes me kind of want a prequel story about the other family members, but I feel like they would either taint the book, or they'd just be too depressing since they all go crazy apparently... I just want to know mooooore 😭I have so many questions, but it's probably best we don't know all the answers. I hope your sisters end up reading it and loving it!

Dear Kimberly, I am so happy you loved it! Because I loved it too! I am sure by now you already know that I am not a romance reader, romance needs to be really convincing for me to care even remotely… yeah I am strange like that 😬 But… I loved, loved their love ❤️ that was perfection. So no, I did not wanted her to go back to Mason, I think she could have been happy with Mason but I don’t think It would be this kind of perfect love. You are so right about the Addie la Rue vibes, that happens to be one of my favorite books of all times, so no wonder that I felt so strongly about this one as well. Pacing was good, it was quick read but had all the cosy fantasy elements which is so wonderful. I really liked the writing style, definitely will be reading more from this author, actually really exited about my future reads. This is a definite ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ok so I finished Unmaking of June farrow. I need some help bc I’m still confused lol. HOW is Margret and Esther younger when she returns in 1951?? At that time June should have still been in her 30s even if she stayed in that timeline her whole life, which would make everyone else aged as well….right??? Her age should never change, bc the years still keep evolving. Help!!

I really enjoyed this book too. I don’t mind the time travel books and the Outlander series is one of my favorites. Although when I got to the second book I was pissed and said all sorts of swears at the beginning of it. But everything in that series has intent when the time jumps are referenced. This book I believe I mentioned a while back was also the read along pick for “The Nest” but I couldn’t stick to the schedule of only reading a few chapters a day. I did that for like 3 days then read the rest of it because I couldn’t wait. It was a fast read as it’s shorter than most books I usually read. I gave it a 4.25 on StoryGraph and 4 on GoodReads. I didn’t give it a 5 because the whole time warp thing made my head hurt 😂. But it’s still a good a score for a book. It would have been nice if she could have had a relationship with her brother since she lost her mother but it would be understandable if he couldn’t look at her without thinking of what she did to their dad. I’m glad you got a 5 star at the start of the year. Hopefully you will get at least one each month for 2024 🤞🏼

Yeah! I remember you had read this earlier. I agree the time warp had me questioning some things, but my brain kind of blacked out on me during the confusing parts and I could just ignore them 😅 hence the 5 star. I think it would have been really interesting to do an epilogue of her spending a sunday dinner with her brother and him asking her questions and them getting to know each other and them both healing from family trauma. But I feel like that needed another 50 pages haha
