@@Moon22884 i was wondering that too until i heard the part about “not an ongoing threat” or whatever and i was like 😬 so you guys are acknowledging that you know something has happened in the past 😬 and i also was thinking they would truly have to be the dumbest people to think he’s innocent when he has that many allegations and is facing that harsh of a sentence, and i dont think they are that dumb. I mean i could kind of understand them doubting it if it was just one person making a claim, but the fact that there are multiple its like cmon guys. You know its true. Especially with him being involved with scientology too. I truly have no idea what their motivations were but i just cant imagine they would believe he’s innocent based off those factors, im so puzzled
Whoa did that letter really state, "having his daughter raised without her father is an injustice?" Danny wasn't thinking bout nobody else daughter so WTH??? Those girls/women were someone's daughter. They're human beings and should've been respected and protected!
That part of the letter also makes me think, “how can you trust this man around his daughter when he’s a sexual predator?” I wouldn’t want a convicted rapist around my child. Related or not. Most abuse comes from family members anyways.
@@Diva_Dearest good point! I read DM's wife filed for divorce but she should've BEEN got her daughter outta there. Wouldn't have been me. Me and my babies would've ghosted! Such an unsafe environment isn't good for her.
@@rahbeeuh I’m saying! I feel like the fact that she stuck by him until now means they are still together and she just wants to protect their assets in case he gets sued by the victims. Divorcing and hiding assets is the oldest trick in the book.
@@Diva_Dearest I thought the same thing! Like why wait til now? You had all this time to do the same thing. Then I thought maybe she was also a victim or maybe she is just protecting the assets. Y'never know but I wouldn't be surprised either way
He was convicted based on zero physical evidence with this supposed crime taking place over 20 years ago. As an actual victim of rape you people make me fucking sick. If he really raped them, why did they wait all these years and how is it okay to incarcerate someone based on someone else's words alone? How? Is that what our jaundice system has come to? Apparently so. Tu eres PURO broma.
@@Protegida4 really you think so? I thought it was worded so poorly. To me one of the most important parts of an apology is saying what you actually did because it validated the other person. They used such passive language. "Harm was caused" "If that happened" It just comes across like sugarcoating and being disingenuous. Yeah sure some ppl are gonna write you off no matter what. That's just life, but I think it does matter how good/bad your apology is.
@@Protegida4 people would be still be mad regardless (imo what they did isn't forgivable) but if they showed real remorse and empathy towards the victims, the apology would be taken differently. what stuck out to me the most is that they said nothing that indicated that they believe and support the victims of their co star.
@@t_ylrAll apologies vidéos are useless tbh. Whatever they might have said, the public would have hated it regardless. They are only sorry the letter got published for the world to see.
To me, the most OUTRAGEOUS part of all of this is that last month I LITERALLY saw Mila Kunis playing a rape victim. Her performance was awesome but GURL... Did you forget the plot of the movie you just did? And both mentioning the drugs and him being drug free, when the use of drugs to abuse the victims was a KEY part to the case. They implied: ¨how could this man be capable of drugging this ladies when he doesn´t use them¨ LIKE??? Saying they would leave their children alone with him? be for real..
I know right? I had the same reaction when I saw Elizabeth Moss play that woman in the handmaids tail - it's like, do yall critically think at ALL when you take on these roles? Lmao
so Ashton and Mila didn’t intend to “undermine the testimonies of the victims” but they’ll send character letters that claim he isn’t a threat to ongoing society? that directly contradicts what the victims have been saying this entire time!
There's a talk show interview in which Ashton and Mila bring up a story of Danny and Ashton having a dare (or some kind of bet) involving Ashton - then twenty- sticking his tongue down Mila's throat during an onscreen kiss in the first season of That '70s Show. She was only fourteen. Their former castmate Wilmer Valderrama has a history of going after very young women, when they're barely legal or even still minors early on. Lot of weirdness.
Are we really surprised that they more he "Aston" stuck up for this guy. He was like in his 20s while Mila was 14 and now y'all together. It's like he prayed on her...
@@jaymaraodemns2196they didn’t date when she was 14. They dated way way later and he was married for a while to an older woman. The man is definitely questionable but he did not prey on her at that time.
Ashton also said that the chick he’s waiting and everyone else is waiting to turn 18 is Hillary duff, she was only 15yrs old when he said that about her
Raping one person one single time should land you in prison for life, at a minimum. That is not a crime you commit unless you have the capacity to horrifically harm someone intentionally. It is so difficult to understand what an ugly and terrible thing it is unless you’ve experienced it, and it in absolutely no way deserves any amount of sympathy. They feel bad that his daughter has to grow up without him. Sure, but I feel even worse for her having to know that her father is a rapist and hurt several other women (that we know of) in one of the worst ways possible. The worst part is that Ashton and Mila don’t even deny believing that he did it.
I'd be all for this if we could know if someone was innocent or guilty instantly cause someone getting wrongfully convicted for life for something he/she didn't do would be terrible.
They rly said his daughter been raised without a father is bad ARE YOU KIDDING ME? no sex offender should take care of no fking children period thats so gross
Just because someone has been a good friend to you doesn't mean they aren't capable of committing crimes and treating other horrifically, even if just for a moment. Predators don't move like cartoon super villains.
And I will tell u how it can go. Either he will manipulate and pretend he has changed and understood his awful mistake so they will remove years OR he will pay money and he will serve only 10 years.
This is the worst apology ever. Mila sounds like she's reading a hostage statement, what a terrible "actress." At least Ashton's sounds less rehearsed, though it still boils down to "I defend all victims of sexual violence, unless they're assaulted by my friend and then won't somebody PLEASE think about the real victims- perpetrators of sexual assault?!" 😵💫
I think it's more like hinting she probably didn't want to take part in the letter, like cmon, she's a good actress and could have faked that, and she just looks pissed at Ashton, Ashton just looks like he has to sell that he's sincere cause its most likely his idea
I think people underestimate the power of Scientology. You'll be shocked if you read how Katie Holmes had to sneak around to get a divorce from Tom Cruise and get custody of her daughter. I think Scientology has some dirt about Ashton-Mila and blackmailed them to do this.
When are people going to realize that any celebrity who has achieved “elite” status has done something shady or moves with shady people? How do you think they get to their level of insane wealth and power, as an entertainer no less? Hollywood doesn’t truly operate on talent because it’s transactional; what are you willing to do to be famous?
The way that you have the audacity to claim that all celebrities are disgusting just because they become ridiculously rich and famous, a lot of them work their ass off to be where they are but maybe you just don't know what being a hard worker means.
@@LalaDepala00 ok but the original comment is kind of unhinged. It gives off Qanon vibes. Not all celebrities are lizard people who sacrifice babies to the devil, lets not normalize that way of thinking just because mila kunis and ashton kutcher are gross people who did a gross thing that MANY people do in real life all the time
Ashton is a wayyy better actor than Mila because he sells the PR statement more than she does .. also doesn’t he have a organization saving young girls from human trafficking????? Correct me if I’m wrong
Not meaning to sound dramatic, but as a rape victim, I simply don’t give a fuck if his daughter never gets to see him again. And to be quite honest, why are they going so hard for somebody who raped two women to raise a young woman anyway. It doesn’t make any fucking sense.
It’s even better that he won’t get to see his daughter. And I hope the daughter finds out about this scum when she gets older so she can go and spit on his face and make him hate himself.
Part of me understands this because, particularly for Mila, she grew up and spent very formative years with Danny on T7S and I can see how they would view him as a brother. But they really should have known that all court documents are public access. It’s disappointing that they would choose to support Masterson, who scandal has surrounded for decades, over confirmed victims. I think if they were still unsure of his guilt, it would be understandable, but writing those letters KNOWING that Danny was guilty? That’s hard to explain.
Maybe yeah they didn’t believe that the person they worked so many years with and probably hang out later on…is an awful person. That’s why supported him I don’t think they are that hypocrites to support a man like that
Idk Danny made weird comments about her too when she was 14 calling her real sexy at 14 or whatever. I feel like it was weird “brotherly” friendship whatever they had but she def views him as that … now for him… in the beginning it was other
If it wasn't meant to "undermine" the victims or the verdict, then their statements are that much more disturbing. Mila stated Danny treats others with empathy in every situation, that's diabolical to say when he's convicted of forcibly stripping the autonomy from these women.
Also I’ve been side-eying Ashton since he said that he stuck his tongue down a then 14 Mila kunis for their first kiss. Especially knowing that he knew she was 14 and he was 20 plus , it just felt weird knowing he’s admit that and seeing old interviews from the set of Mila being underaged and Ashton letting her sit on his lap and holding her. The way Hollywood treats kids is just plain NASTY idc
@@AshleyIrene95 nah it was definitely them, I was so surprised when they said that, which is probably why I always think about it every time I see their faces. I searched it up and yea it was July 2021 when they shared that publicly for some reason. Oh they said they don’t bathe them with soap everyday and only use water unless they see dirt on their skin or something 🤨
They say that the only one in the group that Topher is really friends with is Laura Prepon, and that makes a ALOT of sense. If you watch the dynamic between Ashton, Danny, and Wilmer they seem like that one clique in high school that were as tight as a cult.
His daughter would be traumatized knowing that his father ASSAULTED people. His victims have to live with that for the rest of their lives. Like did they NOT think about this???!! And just because you have a positive relationship with someone DOESN'T MEAN THEY'RE INCAPABLE OF HARMING OTHERS. Like this is an obvious logic. Yikes...DISGUSTING. I'm so tired of all these abusers in power who keep getting support from fans and celebrities alike and getting away scotch free.
I mean for those of us who grew up on the 70s show this is hardly surprising. Materson was always a creep,, along with Aston, and certainly demi Moore Hollywood is filled with creeps like this. Glad to see them all circling the drain😂.
Not to mention how are we supposed to believe Ashton doesn't support predators, when he met Mila when she was 14 and he pursued her when she was 17... Their whole relationship is weird..
Yes it can. Especially if a lot of people write it . And people of good influence and character. Like another judge. Or politian. Or pastor. A old teacher. Ext..
I can't imagine someone telling me that someone I've known for 20 years is a serial rapist, and me being like...well I'll ask for a lesser sentence because he was nice to ME. I'd be beyond shocked and devastated that someone I know was a monster and I hadn't known to stop it! I do believe prison isn't the answer, but a letter to the judge could have been written SO much more thoughtfully.
Mila acts like she had a chip on her shoulder having to give the so called apology. Shes biting her lips, glaring and speaking in a "how dare you" tone.
My guess is they see Danny as more than just a friend and former co-star to vouch for him like this. That’s the only way it adds up. People do stupid things to stick the necks out for people they care about all the time. It doesn’t make any of this right either, but backlash is indicative of the pedestal we place the hollywood elite on at times, and unrealistic expectations we have of otherwise average people who have little to risk in the stage of their careers for their mediocrity.
Russel Brand is also getting accusations. Is it guilty until proven innocent. Or is it innocent until proven guilty ?! It’s a tricky subject. Andrew Tate was another guy who was also accused. There’s some shady things behind closed doors
Also something literally my dad said is maybe danny has some dirty secrets on them that they decide to write these letters because i think they wouldn't have otherwise
I waited on Ashton and Mila over the summer at the Yellowstone Club (an exclusive members only ski and golf resort for celebrities and billionaires) and if I had known they were supporters of a r*pist I would have called them out. I quit the job anyway, the wages were pathetic
LOL, yes it is an injustice that she's gonna be growing up without a father, and he's responsible for it. He committed the crimes, he abandoned his daughter (on top of destroying two other girls lives). Also, since when is not using drugs some kind of heroic accomplishment?
Bear in mind, Ashton knows victim 1 and 3. I think it’s one of 2 things. Either they can’t separate the person from the crime or that they genuinely think he did not do it and are trying to save face Also I can’t stand the drug free part of the letters. A part of his attacks were that he drugged them and just because he tells you not to do drugs doesn’t mean behind closed doors he isn’t drug free. Plus his dj name was dj donkey punch and he also bet Ashton $10 to French mila when she was 14 during season 1 of 70s show and mila had never been kissed
Wow. I didn't know what this was all about until now. I'm sorry but I could never vouch for someone who is accused of such a thing... plenty of people who do these horrible things can have two sides to them.
They know they’re getting cancelled now, so now they’re apologizing on a video. The only reason they put out that stupid video is because the letter was made public. They couldn’t care less about the victims.
I think downright nasty how Mila and Ashton pleaded a convicted r word getting less years knowing they help run a sex trafficking company. The IRONY Edit: and you’d think that they double down on their roles in their sex trafficking company yet they STEPPED AWAY FROM IT , like huh
I'm in my 30s, I've seen this kind of celebrity apologising too many times before. All I'll say to anyone younger than me watching this vid is, don't idolise your idols. Don't put your entire trust in celebrities. And that no one person is ever fully responsible - there are a lot of people who know and knew, but who don't say anything 🙄🤫
Between them and iggy azalea, celebrities just need to hang it up with these letters because clearly they’re not working no more🥴. Even the judges are sick of all this “I know that this celebrity is a convicted, VIOLENT felon… but they’re really nice to ME! another CELEBRITY!🤗” everyone is TIRED.
Honestly I think theirs was a mistake born from nativity then from malice. They told a friend needed help and they did, without really considering what they were doing and the consequences. Yeah they messed up bad and should be criticized, but I don't think it should be career ending
They are grown adults, if this letter was written years ago without the extensive proof or thier own work with victims i might believe naivity but now. Even then supporting someone does not mean actively defending something you dont know especially to the judge
The thing for me is I know damn well Ashton had first hand seen Danny do stuff also props to top her for not saying anything or trying to defend Danny I would say same for Wilmer but it’s clear as day why he ain’t say nothing cuz everyone knows he use to date underage girls
Public apologies should be banned by law - it's seems to be a cruel and unusual punishment to be made to ask forgiveness from someone whom you didn't cause any harm.
I think if she leaves him she can still save her career. I think people will give her a pass bc it's obvious she was not treated well when she was underaged as well.
As it’s been pointed out in other places, what was really disgusting about their letters is their insistence that Danny Masterson would never participate in any drug use. The victims were drugged before their assaults, so this is a re- litigation of the trial. not to mention he was a show for years that implied he was doing drugs in every single episode. The only good thing about this is that now they won’t be able to virtue signal to us anymore.
I’m sure some people have had positive encounters with people who have committed heinous crimes that doesn’t make them any less of a monster. WTF were they thinking. Mila you just played a rape victim in your recent movie. Like we’re you not paying attention to the script?
A character statement is supposed to be YOUR dealings with this person. How YOU know them and see them so I could see why they'd write it. It's not saying that other person's experience didn't exist, it's saying "This is how I know _____ to be".
I never watched Ashton’s movies lol but I was a big fan of Mila’s work. I no longer feel comfortable watching any more of their content. We probably won’t see them in movies for a while plus I think JB pulled the commercial they had with MK off the air. 😹
When they were asked by the family to write those character letters, all they had to do was simply say "No, we're not doing that." And they would've been within their rights to do so, no one was holding a gun to their heads.
Innocent or not, just because someone has one experience with a person means nothing. Trust and believe! I just watched a case this morning… abusive WIFE was stabbed (and lived) by the victimized husband who finally snapped. She had stabbed him before, down the side of his face! And then HE gets prison time! For self-defense. But everyone, including his daughter, rushed to his defense saying “he would NEVER”. And it’s like, that’s your experience, not anyone else’s…whether or not someone is justified or guilty or whatever, your experience is yours. That’s why I lowkey don’t believe in ”reaching out” or “asking for advice”. It depends. But at the end of the day, nobody can relate to anyone else’s story unless they ARE them. Plus, everything is gonna unfold as the universe or karma or God feels it should, and we can’t control it. In the end, both parties involved in a situation have the opportunity to learn from their actions, as well as to be a teacher from it. This is true in any moment, situation, convo, encounter, etc. Two sides to everything. So…someone else’s experience can’t really factor in for another. I think asking for someone’s advice is possibly a way to gain some perspective, or clarity, but it is a waste of time in a sense! Anyway, Mila and Ashton look like they teamed up with Alicia Keys, doing a little “makeup free”, I mean, apology… video… 😮 Uuff, shit, that lighting was harsh, girl! Wow, but it was totally scripted. Mila gave that away. English isn’t her first language, so I think reading a script might have been more comfortable for her. No offense, just saying. Ashton was attempting to seem ‘real’, by looking away from the camera and glancing at Mila a few times, and asking her questions related to what they’re saying. Like adlibbing or improving off of their ‘script’. But she didn’t budge. She “stayed in character”. Fake tone, “we support the victims” and blah blah. I guess she’s not truly an ‘actor’, if she needs a script to say something honest! That’s why they seemed agitated and insincere. Because it’s scripted.
If you ask me, Mila is realizing that TWO AND A HALF decades ago, she entered a predatory environment with Ashton and Danny. Danny saw Mila as a conquest, but Ashton did something Danny doesn't do; he began to feel romantic feelings for the prey. Mila might be struggling to wonder if Ashton REALLY saw her as an intitial sexual victory, and not a MINOR, which *she was when casted* and this is known. Ashton might feel guilty that he might very well have been an accessory to predatory behavior or even a predator himself, EVEN IF OVER TIME, that changed or stopped. If you ask me, Mila maybe only half believed her support of Danny. The more I learn of it, it looks like Danny was the main predator, Ashton was the second that eventually stopped, and Mila was the victim that denied that she was a victim, and maybe now is having second guesses. But its a little late for revelations when that predator is your husband and children exist because of him.
Something I hate that CEO’s, chairman’s, and just rich people in general that have foundations do. Is that they “Resign” or “Step down” and make that public. But it’s like did he Resign and will NO LONGER have say in what the foundation does moving forward or did he Resign to a position under chairman and still calls the shots? They always do this. Just because they say that crap doesn’t mean they still aren’t calling the shots.
Before you type and look like an ignorant, Ashton and Mila's letter was made AFTER HE WAS CONVICTED OF RAPE!!!! So by that point, it isn't a "point of view" like a lot of comments said, the people who says that are utterly disgusting.
It's just so hypocritical. Like your entire careers revolve around helping survivors and victims, yet you support one. Yes good people have dark sides, and bad people have good sides, but some things just overwhelm others.
So they’re concerned about his daughter, but not the women who were assaulted.. who were also someone’s daughter? The cognitive dissonance is appalling. But also, if he didn’t want to go to jail and be separated from his kid, he should’ve thought of that before he committed a crime. He made his bed and should lay in it now. He is not the one in need of sympathy and compassion there.
Hi Honest can you make a video on George Michael and his impact & legacy in the music industry similar to a documentary.. He's my favorite male artist of all time & because he's one of the most underrated artist from the 1980's era. Everybody always talks about MJ , Madonna , and Prince BUT nobody talks about George Michael and his impact on the music industry or his contributions in the music industry. I remember Honest when u replied to one of my comments & said that u were working on the video. Are u still working on it ? Or is it already done & you're just waiting for the right time to release it ? Like what's going on?
Anyone working for G.H.O.S.T would NEVER do something like this! For anyone who's thinking people can make mistakes and blah blah! Not these types of people! He dedicated his life to a specific someone-"the hurt lost souls" to then what? Basically tell that guy's VICTIMS that "it's not okay but he's a gd guy nd should be free?" LIKE NO! Glad he stepped down as chairman, let them actually do some damn work without this Ponyboy!
Be kind to Ashton and Mila they were in a no win situation. They have helped many many people in the world. This trying to destroy a different person everyday do to being a friend to someone you may not agree with is ridiculous. Just back off and review your own life and try to live the best life you can without harming others.
Thank u . ! The vest comment on here. This is getting ridiculous. People are such dumb sheep. Obsessed with what celebrities are doing. Like look and ficus on your own life and your actual real friends and family. Not some bs on celebrities. It's so gross.
Tell that to them. They stuck their noses out in the worst possible way. Their so called "foundations" are merely tax shelters that benefit them more than they proclaim to "help" others. Celebrities are so worthless. These two are particularly talentless.
The fact that you can hear them click to the next slide and that it looks like they rolled out of bed is sinister. Did they not realize what happened to igloo Australia it always goes public 😂
