It's really interesting how paths can cross. Never in a million years would I have guessed Jesse wrote Bleeding Love. I wish we could hear his acapella version. I'd probably cry lol
If you search on youtube it's there. There is also a live version he did while on tour that is on spotify. I thought his version was good but Leona Lewis definitely took the song to another level.
@@crystalsnow1138 I went looking for it after I read this and his version is pretty good. Although it's hard to listen to it without hearing Leona Lewis. Some good mixing and mastering would have done it justice
I have so much respect for Jesse McCartney he always seems humble and relaxed and his song writing skills are actually really good when I read the lyrics instead of one listen to the music.
@@87alsjthbut ultimately Justin did it better than both of them and since you’re using Justin’s name to clarify who they are, you’re unwittingly proving the point that Bieber is better/well known
A few years ago I went to a Jesse McCartney concert and it was so freaking good. One of the few artists I’ve seen that sound just like if not better than his recordings.
YES!! His whole Departure era was the soundtrack to my late middle school and underclassman years and some of those songs still absolutely slap. Leavin, How Do You Sleep, It's Over. Mans was so underappreciated.
He genuinely had such good songs 😂 I recently found some of them again and was impressed at my 9 year old self and how I actually he decent taste as a kid lol
Man voiced Roxas so good that they had to keep putting him in Kingdom Hearts games because the character was EXTREMELY popular. He's been booked for years, happy to see a former teen star that's grown up healthy and happy!
I've been of Jesse's for over 20 years and the thing that amazes me is he's pretty much scandal free and that's maybe why he's not talked about a lot which is kind of sad. He's also married now. I hope nothing but the best for Jesse because he's a very talented musician and actor.
@@KrisBryant99 In my opinion scandals and problems are 2 very different categories. I'm not saying his life is and has been perfect, I'm sure he's had struggles. But he didn't go down the dark path that so many young celebrities go down is refreshing. I mean it's not like he's hiding away from the public and we don't know anything that's going on with him. I'm just saying he looks happy and healthy that's all. He's also married to a woman who he's been with for over 10 years which is also something not common in the entertainment industry.
He did a lot of voice work. He was in Horton Hears a Who and Kingdom Hearts as Roxas. So he's still getting work, he's just not at the forefront anymore. I actually want to hear his version of Bleeding Love because I absolutely love that song.
If you were around from his Dream Street days, Beautiful Soul and Summerland days Jesse was that dude. The chokehold he had on me back in the early 2000s was wild 😂😂
@@60wwediva tbh I disagree about 2013. While I've always followed Jesse and he'll always be that dude, I think honest did a good job breaking down his career as far as mainstream success is concerned.
He’s had a major role of Nightwing in Young Justice, which is a big cartoon within the superhero world. He has done other voice acting work and it’s doing great for him. Voice actors overall are under appreciated but he is still in his bag.
Such an underrated channel. Always covering earlier music; 90s + early 2000s forgotten artists. A lot of kids these days have no idea how good music used to be.
I have his FANTASTIC debut solo album along with the DreamStreet album!! Because of DreamStreet I found out he was on the show “All My Children” which my sister and I watched only because he was on it for like a few months before he left the show. If I’m not mistaken, he is an Emmy nominated actor. My heart broke hearing that his former band mate Chris Trousdale died from COVID complications in 2020. He, Greg, Matt, and Frankie making the tribute video “It Happens Everytime” was everything.
I also watched Jesse when he was on All My Children and I listened to Dream Street too and went to a couple of their shows. Yes, Jesse was nominated twice for the daytime emmy awards. Did you ever watch Summerland? Did you see that Jesse, Matt, Greg, and Frankie went on a skiing trip and did an instagram live together? It was so good to see them together in person again talking about their Dream Street days. I only wish it would've happened sooner when Chris was still alive.
@@crystalsnow1138We watched and recorded Summerland on our VHS lol! It only lasted one season 😒 Not to mention him on an episode of ‘Zach and Cody.” I honestly don’t know their dynamic before Chris passed but it seems like they are keeping in contact more which is awesome. Unfortunately, when it comes to children in the music industry, the elites that be will eventually push someone to be at the forefront and cause a rift on purpose. By now I’m sure DreamStreet knows this.
I also wanted to say that in the gaming areas of the population that Jessie McCartney is known very well for his voice acting thanks to him play Roxas in Kingdom Hearts!
He performed at my college in 2017. I wonder if he did the college tour because we were all kids when he was big and would be the only ones to remember him
Yeah but still jesse mccartney pushing threw away from the music industry for good. And that's why he's not even disney star anymore, but he can sticks with his new age sound like the rest of his peers.
@@crystalsnow1138I agreed, he hasn’t left his music. I just think he’s step away from music, to focus on his acting career. I think that Jesse was more of an actor then a artist.
I actually really like right where you want me. There was so major jams on that album, it was sad it was overlooked! But props to Jesse for being apart of bleeding love, had NO idea about that!
The songs I love the most from RWYWM includes the following: 1. Feeling You 2. Just Go 3. Just So You Know 4. Invisible 5. Right Back in the Water 6. We Can Go Anywhere 7. Tell Her I love all the other songs too but they're more upbeats. 🤣
The second album just needed more promotion from the second album. The song ‘Just So You Know’ should have been a second single if it wasn’t and not promoted enough to gain traction. The third album had potential to succeed to get him back up. Hollywood records did him and Aly & AJ done bad.
I remember back in the MySpace days when he announced he wrote and gave a song to a new, upcoming artist. I guess it was meant to be. She did a great job with that song, but Jesse never got as much credit as he was due for that song in the public eye. I also remember waiting eagerly for Have It All and that never ended up happening. Hate it when labels do that. He was very unlucky with how the label and Disney decided to handle his career. His independent stuff is quite good, albeit not as popular.
You can also say that about R5, Sabrina Carpenter, and Jordan Fisher on Hollywood Records misusing their talent. R5 (now The Driver Era [Ross & Rocky Lynch]) and Jordan Fisher are independent now while Sabrina signed with Island Records
Didn’t even realize I had a crush on him, since he voiced Terrence in the Tinkerbell movie franchise and Dick Grayson in Young Justice and I loved his voice💀
just wanted to add that jesse is such a sweet guy. I served him once when he was on a date and he was extremely polite and sweet and tipped well. I was secretly freaking out the whole time bc none of my coworkers knew who he was haha
Best day of my Life from the Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray Cinderella movie will forever be one of my favorite teenie bopping years 😭❤ the nostalgia and joy i get when i listen to it just bring me back to being 14 again. He’s an underrated pop artist of that generation. Growing up in Europe he was popular there too
He is honestly so talented, and Keith was surprisingly a great movie. I'm surprised he didn't get bigger but I do listen to his music from now and then.
I follow him on Instagram. He rarely posts, but I can tell you that he is married now. He also just keeps to himself unless he has something to share. He released an album of new songs in 2021 for did it promoted much. He also released a live album in 2019. He didn’t promote that one at all.
Remember when he was briefly casted as Zuko in the Last Airbender movie? That was weird. Also is very interesting when an act is basically stuck in-between Fads like Jesse himself.
can you do a video on sisqo from dru hill on why his solo career never blow up like it should have because i love his first album ''unleash the dragon'' but his second album ''return of the dragon'' was an commercial failure. you should do a video on sisqo someday.
he's living his best life with new music coming out! I've been following for years, wish Have It All was released i hard some tracks and they were bangs! Love Jesse McCartney! ❤
He was never really a Disney kid but people stopped supporting him after he lost his “Disney” image. And then his team also stopped promoting him when he started branching out 😭
Man I feel like sometimes things happen for a reason. Some people are meant to stay good forever. I’m glad he didn’t turn out like Miley or Justin. Same goes for Hilary Duff. You guys are not missing much. Everyone else like Justin, Ariana and Miley went to a deep hole. I do believe the fame is good for a while, but fame for too long has consequences.
luck is such a big part of success no matter how much you try even if all the things needed is at your hands if it ain't for you it aint. its not like all extremely successful people aren't born for it coz they are I truly believe in destiny and Devine Intervention
i fell in love with him when i was 5 lmfaoooo also, aly and aj has some really good music. recently went back to listen to them and haven't looked back since. solid albums.
Coming from Europe, I only know Jesse from lending his voice to the character Roxas in the game hit kingdom hearts. And from this video I think he found success in his own way
He was literally my first childhood crush lol i still know all the lyrics to beautiful soul but i definitely think Jesse paved the way for male artist like Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Austin mahone, Cody Simpson and even the Jones brother's
Jesse did not pave the way for the Jonas Brothers. Hanson paved the way for the Jonas Brothers. Jesse McCartney and The Jonas Brothers came out at the same time.
@lisah8438 I don't even know who Hanson is, but Jesse was around before the Jones brothers and they both were on Disney, but Jesse was already successful before them and was a huge heartthrob at the time before the Jo bros came around so to say he didn't have a hand in paving the way for the Jones Brothers is ridiculous
@@ramonajavier5938 Hanson was/is a group of 3 brothers from Oklahoma and they wrote their own songs and played instruments. They are most known for their song MMMBop which was a number 1 hit in 1997 when the boys were only 11, 14, and 16 years old and they were nominated for 3 Grammys. If I'm not mistaken Zac Hanson is actually the youngest person to be nominated for songwriting. All 3 brothers are now married and have kids but they still make music and tour together after 31 years of being a group. They got screwed over by their record label and decided to go independent in 2003. I think the main reason people say Hanson paved the way for the Jonas Brothers is because they were also 3 brothers. But there have been other brotherly acts that came from before Hanson too like the Beegees, the Osmonds, the Jackson 5/the Jacksons.
I do think Jesse Mccartney career would have been different if he did have his own Disney TV show. I imagine his show being called The Jesse Mccartney show which is all about him being a popstar & he has the catchphrase "Hi I'm Jesse" BUT anyways I just found out who Jesse was a few months ago & I love album Technicolor. I also like his songs Leavin , Body Language , and Shake. I still think he could get career back on track & make some sort of resurgence if he wanted to like maybe use TikTok as leverage similar to how Jason Derulo did back in 2020 or he could collaborate w/ popular artists of this generation w/ a big following such as Miley Cyrus , Ariana Grande , or Justin Bieber for example & I think a Justin Bieber & Jesse Mccartney collab would be cool BUT anyways I feel like if he collaborated w/ some big modern day artists like that it would get his career back on track & give him some more hits in the billboard chart & it would be another way for him to get a resurgence/gain relevancy again. He obviously won't be a teen heart throb anymore since he's alot older & doesn't have Disney behind him BUT I think it would still be good for his career. Overall I think Jesse Mccartney seems like everything is going good in his life & he seems happy being an independent artist.
I don't think Jesse wanted to be on Disney. I know he made a few guest appearances on Disney shows but he was more intro dramatic acting plus he was on Summerland at the time too. Even today he doesn't really understand why people associate him so much with Disney.
@@KrisBryant99 As much as I like Jesse's version of the song I don't think it would've been as successful as Leona's version. And Jesse even said he's happy the song went to her and it pays him very well.
I listened to Radio Disney growing up and I remember they played his music a lot, but I loved it and I still listen to it frequently. I like his new music too!
Did Jesse have a Trainwreckord or did he just have a traditional pop star career like Cyndi Lauper? Cuz dude was everywhere in the mid-2000s and then Bieber outshined him in 2010-2011 and never saw him perform as publicly as he did again.
