Thanks for sharing it! I just bought a CD of Schnittke's 4th Symphony and his Requiem. I think I've just discovered a new sonic world.

It's the Epliogue from Peer Gynt. It's used again later in the documentary and Schnittke speaks very eloquently about its meaning.

We recorded the BBC broadcast in 1990 on a VHS tape and digitalised it in 3 parts in 2013, but have now seen references to it having been directed by Donald Sturrock in 1983 - though he would have only been 22 at that time.
