I never did get why people hated him for his "offensive lyrics" when they loved Eminem for it. It's obvious he was playing a character and it's tongue and cheek

I love how upbeat this channel is, Mike always sounds so excited about what he's sharing with us, and I certainly don't have an issue with more monotone creators but it's a nice change of pace

My ex husband and I were just talking about the loss of all that MySpace music yesterday. It’s heartbreaking to think of just how much music was gone within a moment. He and I were both really into the local Austin music scene in the mid 2000s (it’s how we met) and countless local bands still had MySpace profiles with their music on them. Up until the deletion it was the only way we had to listen to a lot of those bands. Now it’s virtually impossible to find some of those songs again.

it’s interesting that a lot of artists have unheard tracks which are most likely gone forever but lana del rey literally has like 200+ unreleased stuff and almost all of it is on youtube 😭

Since you're delving into Tyler's lost work, I would live a video on Frank Ocean's or Earl's lost work as well

Tyler mentioned in an interview about 2 or 3 years ago that he's still going to release a straight jazz album

i never knew my favorite album (wolf) went through so many changes b4 its official release. tho i wish i couldve seen the 2010 version (as i really like goblin aswell) and the alternate songs i'm glad we got the one that came out.

If you plan to make a series out of lost/unreleased musician work then I recommend gorillaz!! They have a bunch of unreleased stuff including tv shows and a movie that has some concept art available online. They recently announced a new tv show but the latest news is from 2020 so many fans think that’s been cancelled too

On the bossa nova album, tyler said in an interview a while back that barely anything progressed into anything he released from that period but during the creation of that project, Answer was on there. It was in his most recent interview for Converse I believe

I don’t know how feasible it would be, but a video on Ween may be cool. They only have 1 fully lost album/tape (their first actually), but there are hundreds of songs they’ve recorded that have been uncovered/leaked over the years. There’s even an (unofficial) album of demos released by one of the band members. Pretty cool stuff.

it really sucks losing music to hardrive/ssd issues which is why you should find a way to always back up your files when i lost 1 of my albums i was freakin scared intil i realized i had freinds to backup my music moral of the story: always backup your files

Wolf was never actually meant to be a movie.. he's stated that the movie trailer was always just meant to be a commercial for the album and nothing more. So I wouldn't really consider it "lost"

Something you should’ve mentioned was the full version of I THINKs music video. The video that’s up says in the description “a fraction of the video*”, which means tyler has the full video somewhere, but it isn’t anywhere to be found.

You forgot about the unreleased track "number number" that you could hear if you called the promotional phone number line for CMIYGL. There were various songs and teasers of songs that eventually made it onto the album but "number number/call me when you can" never got released and all we have is the compressed phone call audio for them.

hey guys, yocto here in 2023, a majority of the Wolf 2010 album has been found, the only song from this list that has not been found is Half N Half, I can debunk the ideology that Rotten Sarah is his darkest song from this era, and I would instead like to direct you towards WolfSwag, which is really really dark in my opinion.

I have to challenge that statement on the Bossa nova stuff. Like you can clearly hear the influence in the chord structures and instrument choices. There was even a snippet in-between Sweet/ITYWTD with a straight up Bossa rhythm

with myspace it was not just music lost basically mostly everything was lost so anything left over from when it was a social media platform was lost which i would imagine a decent amount of stuff remain before that happen while fortunately i backed up my pictures that were on it only around six pictures out of a little over one hundred is left basically everything else while shows the amount that use to be there as blank pictures in there place the pictures no longer can be excess atleast not with normal methods
