I'm not going to lie, I massively disagree with when women say this shit. I do agree that women cheating is different to a mans cheating but saying that you'll allow it is just idiotic. Plus if you want to a girl that will let you cheat, that's polygamy or better yet stay single.
All she is really saying is that she loves your money and your status....not you. She is the type of woman who will leave you when a bigger wallet/higher status man comes along.
If a woman doesn't care if you cheat it means she doesn't love you, doesn't respect you, doesn't care about you as a person. You're just for whatever she tries to gain (money, most likely). Monogamy allows for all or most of the males in a tribe to have children and reproduce, as opposed to the old animal way, of one alpha male having all the females, and every other guy having none. Man's role to provide and protect does not decline in the same way as women's role to raise kids. Ideally they both age together, but with people living longer now, it increases the possible age gap. Just biology.

The first lady's observation is very interesting, If she is explaining why so many men cheat & their wives put up with it without divorce or even separation, then she is absolutely correct, but if she is at the same time insinuating that it's okay & that Women should put up with that, then that's wrong. More people think that way than we thought, and that's why across all cultures it's much more common to see Women who knew their husbands were cheating without filing for divorce than if the situation were to be reversed.
Her reasoning was sound. The Intention behind the action matters... men and women are not the same. I personally wouldn't cheat on someone I'm dating, but I can separate an intimate act from my emotions... I think that was her point.

Monogamy ensured genetic diversity among human beings, because each man now has a wife, as opposed to one alpha male, with all the women, and the other rmen with none. Also too, with one man per woman, the man could keep a better watch over his kids, which insured that his progeny survived. Where as the alpha male, having so many kids, is not able to provide as much protection nor resources. Alpha primates are the original pookies, essentially. With a bunch of bad ass kids, he barely takes care of. With greater protection, this insured our survival, and with better nutrition, we were allowed to get more calories so our brains could get bigger. You should read up about the scientific history of monogamy, it is speculated that it played a majore role in our evolution from primate to humans.
