How to make use of hydrogen as an innovative energy solution for a sustainable future?
In his TEDx-talk, he gives us an overview of the functionality and prospects of hydrogen-based energy storage. He shows us glimpses of a hydrogen economy, how hydrogen can be used as fuel in automobile transportation and how it can be incorporated into our everyday lives as an alternative to fossil fuels. Tomas is a professor in Solid State Physics at the Department of Engineering Sciences at Uppsala University. His ongoing work undertakes research on low dimensional materials for solar cells, water purification, and solar fuels. A short introduction to hydrogen as an energy carrier, history of water splitting, and the untapped potential of solar energy to produce a solar fuel. The talk is intended for laymen and the younger generation. A game changer is the new Plasma Technology developed by the Keshe Foundation, they have released a Stand Alone Plasma Generator with no moving parts to the Governments of the world which can produce Mega Watts of energy, this was initially developed for space travel and is now being used in Agriculture and Health, Mehran Keshe is a Nuclear Plasma scientist who has gifted this technology to the world, so no more fossil fuels or nuclear energy needed.

Sunlight is basically hydrogen light. All visible light can be thought of as derived from hydrogen energy transitions.

There are 3 problems with hydrogen, he only mentioned one. 1. It takes a lot of energy to separate hydrogen from water or methane. 2. Fuel cells are only 65% efficient. 3. Transporting and storing and compressing takes a lot of energy. End to end hydrogen is very inefficient. You are lucky to get back 50% of the energy it took to separate it, transport and store it, and use it in a fuel cell. That being said it may be the only solution for aviation, or shipping.

@@AIMGlobalEClVirgilioBAberte 90% of H2 sold in the US is derived from fossil fuel, and a lot of CO2 is released in the process. It's super inefficient, compared to just charging a battery. Still believe it has a place, just not in cars or light trucks.

despite my silly comment (in the spirit of comedy based on making fun of accents and mispronunciation, which I enjoy while also being a non native english speaker with accent and miscpronunciation still being my thing), I thoroughly enjoyed the talk..thank you! I find hydorgen exciting and I wish I could work in that 'movement'

This is one of the worst explanations on the advantages of hydrogen and its potential to solve many of today problems better than any other solution. If this person can make a TED talk, then I should be able to make 10 of this.

@@Topelbeats everyone who think I dont know what I am talking about, they get completely destroyed by logic, evidence and facts when I start to exchange knowledge with them. So I am 100% sure that I know the hydrogen topic way better than this guy. I knew the potential for hydrogen way before countries and companies started to invest a lot on it, because there is no other better solution in its range of application, I know all energy technologies very well, I know the best case application for each one, but in order to deliver or store clean power for longer than 5 hours (natural gas grid, trucks, airplanes, trains, ships, season disparities, etc), there is no other technology that can solve the intermittency of solar and wind solving at the same time co2 emission in all the sectors I mentioned. Of course, batteries and other technologies also had their place of application, but not for the cases I mentioned.
