But all of that was to change as the planet experienced the hottest August on record. Extreme droughts in several regions sparked massive wildfires. The high surface temperature of the oceans fuelled severe storms in the Atlantic and the pacific.

When my three youngest children (i.e. 3, 6, and 9 yrs old) would watch educational documentary shows like this, with me, my beloved sister, rip, would come over and say the same thing for years, " They like watching shows like this?" LOL, yes, using the left side of their brain. You can learn from cartoons and comic books (never stop reading) but this documentary is 100% non-fictional and educational. Math, science, and reading are very important for success as an independent adult.

I was part of the clean up crews that were sent to Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada and it was shocking to see the damage left by the fire!!

God bless all the rescue workers stay safe you deserve medals for what you do, rest in peace all those poor souls lost in these disasters my heart goes out to all the families who lost loved ones I pray this never happens again x

Here in Hawai'i too. In September 2016 we had record heat and rain. Large tide pools rose to a scorching 90°, then combined with 30 days of flash flood runoff... this combination was no place for delicate sea life, killing coral and many creatures. And then the December of 2016 was the coldest few nights in a few of the warmest little beach towns.
